Ok guys I bought a gladiator a few months ago lifted it added 37’s and 2 day after getting it I was broadsided and jeep was totaled. While I loved it for those 2 days I did not get to get out of the honeymoon phase. I’m looking for a new vehicle I was going for the rubicon gladiator again, but started considering the tundra. Now I know this is a biased place to ask but I know members have considered the same. My off-roading consists of logging roads around my camp and the yearly trip to Arkansas. Another factor is I have 3 children and I am 6,4”. Thanks for any helpful info you can give to lean me either way.

Your brood + your height make the jt a hard vehicle for ya im sure. Everyone has a different financial situation so i know this may not work. But maybe go Tundra and then find a used 2010 2 door JK and make that your top off no doors mobile for fun.

i like the new tundras a lot. But i think they missed the mark when it comes to their towig/cargo capacity when compared to my JtMt

Doesn't the Tundra tow more then a Gladiator?

That’s kind of the kicker is my kids and height we all fit in it fine, but everyone was so excited to go jeeping that I don’t think the size was noticeable. I did take it an hour down the road and my back was on fire but most new vehicles I drive are that way till I get accustomed to them.

The back thing was the shitty seat angle for me. I added seat jackers .75" adjustable and fixed.

From what ive seen yea. But being able to tow 11,000lbs, and still only carry 1,800lbs seems very off to me. I would personally expect a better cargo capacity to go with a decent towing capacity.

No wrong answer here.

Someone close to me recently purchased a new Ram 1500 and although it’s not a purpose built off road truck like the JT, it is a very nice truck that anyone would be proud to own. I’m sure the Toyota is similar, Godspeed to you on your decision.

Naw, ask on the Colorado forum or Bronco forum.

Better yet, ask on the Honda forum.
Go to Walmart and ask if you should shop there or go to target........

LOL - but you are asking Jeep people if you should buy a Toyota.
No one can really answer that objectively.
Asking about trading for another Jeep, a different Jeep, etc. - these people know Jeeps. Many are here though because they moved away from Toyota or another Jeep.
Will be interesting to see what the ratio of "dump the Jeep and buy a Toyota" thoughts will be.
