So in other words, you don't really know. Don't fall for that "it's a jeep thing" bull crap.they did a realignment and it’s good as it think it can be,
That brace can't hurt, and there's a whale of a lot of stress on that steering linkage in the rocks, in ruts, in mud and so on. I've seen some indications of a bit of frame flex on some, so can't talk negative about that pitman bracket at all.I did add the Synergy bracket early on, maybe that helps? Also, I am running stock size tires still.
Black paint should be steel. Retorque everything in the front end, especially the tie rod and trackbar. Then if it's still super loose I'd think about doing the adjustment.I have a 2021 Willys (9/20 build date) and the steering is super loose. It drives me nuts and is getting to the point where I am considering trading it in. I researched the adjustment and planned to do it today. As soon as I saw my steering box I was shocked. Isn't this the old aluminium box? I didn't think there was any chance I had it on a 2021. Not the best pic, but as good as I could get without taking everything apart.
