Rubicon red dash no more?

Well, following the threads where new rigs are being delivered has brought out some concern in me.

I’m hearing Rubicon orders are being fulfilled with the grey/silver dash instead of the red so well known on the Rubicons with black leather (cloth seats too?).

Can you tell me if your Rubicon has not been delivered as expected with the red dash starting around late May till now?

Had mine delivered last Friday, with red dash.

My Gobi JTR came with a gray dash on June 11th.

I was told it’s dependent on the exterior color of your truck.

I started a dispute with Jeep. We shall see.

It depends on exterior color. Nacho, Gecko, Gobi, Punkn, maybe others, don't get a red dash. Mine is a 2021 Nacho, and has a gray dash.

Basically, flashy colors get grey dash. Also, the tan leather gets the gray dash.

Except for red, we get the flashy red dash with just a couple shades off red lettering around the Rubicon letters.

Is it a newer thing? Dependent on if you have leather or cloth? My 2020 JTR Gobi with leather has a red dash.

Still get red stitching and the Rubicon badge on the seats. You get everything. Just no red dash. Plenty of red elsewhere.

That is good news as I’m one who likes the contrast of the red stitching and dash in that sea of black.

At least if I get the grey instrument bezel and passenger airbag door (I guess that’s what the parts are called) on the dash I can get them in red by ordering OEM replacement parts but replacing all the parts to get the red stitching around the rig would be very expensive.

I’m in the same boat. When I originally test drove the red dash was a little too much for my taste. I got lucky with mine which has the same leather with red stitching as the rest of the truck in the center section. Doubt it can be ordered but might be worth a look if you ever swap. It’s what came in the launch edition’s.

Ordering tan leather will get you that.

Once you get your Rubi, if you decide you still want the red dash pieces just post up in the "Parts Wanted" section of the classifieds. There are Rubi owners who will trade you straight up for your grey ones.
