'23 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, in San Diego area. Approx 3:30a Sunday morning, someone gained silent entry to my Gladiator - maybe using relay from my key fob hanging inside house. Nothing was disturbed inside the Jeep, no theft of anything, not even a charging cable, let alone other much more valuable parts readily available within. The driver's door was simply left slightly ajar and they left. What happened? Exterior cam doesn't show any traffic or persons during this time frame and just a shadow of movement, so I can only speculate, but I believe they saw the Ravelco plug on the lower panel, driver's side, and decided it wasn't worth the effort. The hood has the Bolt lock, so that route was largely inaccessible. It looks like they were pros and wanted the whole thing or nothing. Anyway, I disabled the passive entry system and threw an old Club on the steering wheel and I think that's about all I can do since it won't fit in my garage. Food for thought.

Nothing will kill the buzz for a car thief better than a missing tire and wheel. Impact wrench, floor jack and just I few minutes extra before bed and before you leave for work, to put on or take off the one wheel and tire in your drive way. Pull the spare and leave it in the garage with your tire you pulled off. Unless they have a tow truck, or their packing an extra tire and rim that will bolt up, your JT should be there in the morning.

Copy that. It's the reason I decided to have the install done. Too many reports of Jeep owners tracking their Jeeps to MX before the tracking is turned off forever. Just the reality.

I’d be worried they will be returning tonight with a tow truck now that they have scoped out the situation. Might be a good time to remove that tire!

Going to put the F150 directly behind it for awhile...

Hmmmm…
I‘m planning a trip to Baja next February. Might have to consider installing one of those.

They’ve been stealing Jeeps down there for years. I used to take out one of the relays from the engine every night when I lived down that way. Did anyone try? No idea. I do know they tried to break into it once while I was at school. Idiots tried to pry the locking mechanism out of the door. Glad they didn’t get it. Maybe it’s time for a paint ball gun and some pepper balls. Or just a stinger grenade or 2. :CWL:

Looks like a great product but at what appears to be $800 or more - looks like I'm gonna keep pulling relays when I'm in suspicious locations 🤣

Can a price be put on the personal satisfaction of seeing an asshat, or asshats, getting hit full force with a blast of rubber pellets from a stinger ball grenade though? This is something to ponder……
