There are 2 Mopar lift kits that are available thru JPP. One has the Fox shocks and the other has Bilsteins with reservoirs.

77072468AF (Bilstein)
77072468AE (Fox)

Anyone have experience with the Bilstein setup? I’m trying to decide between the 2. The major difference appears to be the diameter size of the shocks (46 mm for Bilstein vs. 2.5 inches for Fox).

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Some questions you need to ask yourself.

First, is the Fox kit discounted? It is an old kit, been sitting in someones warehouse for a while. Do you want to buy a set that if you get a bad shock it can't be replaced?

Second, do you want to spend money on a kit that you can't go higher with? There are ZERO adjustments available in the MOPAR kit. It is NOT a complete kit. There are no track bars or track bar relocation brackets in the kit.

Will MOPAR warranty the kit? Do a search, there is a gentleman on this Board that bought a MOPAR lift, shocks were leaking straight out of the crate. No one wanted to replace the shocks.

Lastly, neither shock (Fox or Bilstein) is an off the shelf shock. They are built to MOPAR specs and sold to MOPAR. You can't buy them anywhere but a MOPAR dealer. In the case of Fox, they're gone. In the case of Bilstein, they are on constant back order.

There is no difference in springs and other parts in the kits. Only the shocks are different. The Fox shock kits is the older kit. The Bilstein shock kit is the replacement kit for the Fox shocks. Both kits have their issues. If you need a replacement shock, good luck with getting one for either kit.

Only thing good about the MOPAR 2" lift kit in either variety is if you actually have it dealer installed and want a warranty with your lift. Otherwise, better and more complete kits on the aftermarket.

All valid points up above. The plan was dealer installed as to not void the warranty. Prices range from 1900-2100 for either kit plus install. Makes sense to go with Bilstein since it is the newer setup (if I go OEM Mopar). I want something that minimizes the factory rake as well.

I don’t think the concern is whether or not Mopar will warranty the lift. It’s will Mopar use an aftermarket lift to void the warranty on other components?

“My transmission failed.”
“Sorry, it’s the lift.”

Dealers/Manufacturers don’t often (ever?) have your best interest in mind. That’s my concern, anyway.

That's the whole point of MOPAR accessories when installed by the dealer, it gives the warranty on the accessory installed and does not invalidate any other vehicle warranty components. They are parts and accessories that have been tested and verified to not invalidate other vehicle warranty parts.

I had the dealer install the Bilstein kit on my 24 JTR, and I had the Fox Mopar lift on a 22 JTR. I haven't had the 24 off road yet, but the Bilstein is softer, and didn't move the axle as much (1.5 cm for the Bilstein, and 63 mm for the Fox.

Did the Bilstein kit level out the factory rake? I have a 23 JTR.

Appears so, but I haven’t measured it yet. Unless it's extreme it's not something I care about.

IMO I test drove a Mojave with fox shocks, it was too loose for me. I currently drive a sport s with Bilstein 5100 shocks on all 4 corners and I love the firmness. No reservoirs on the 5100s though.

The height is determined by the springs, not shocks.
Yes to clarify I wanted to know if the springs in the kit lifted the front slightly more than the back to level out the vehicles stance.
