That is quite interesting. I'll have to push them for an explanation. In my distant past, I did have a carrier bearing fail and toss my driveshaft at speed, so I guess I'm predisposed to thinking one part is mo-better than two.Curious to the explanation of why the two-piece driveshafts fail.
On Currie's site, at least for the five-lug assemblies, they void the warranty if a two-piece shaft isn't used. Pinion bearing failure is all I can imagine.
Don, Don, Don! who are you kidding? one and done! bwa hahaha bwa hahaha!!!That is quite interesting. I'll have to push them for an explanation. I think this warrants a deeper dive since I am hoping this Hemi conversion is mostly a "one and done."
My thoughts exactly. In that spirit, I was thinking of offering them a partial refund scenario. That would harm them less while showing their commitment to customer support, while taking the sting off my wasted purchase...Has Ripp acknowledge there is a issue? If so, it would be in the realm that they should take it back as a return and refund.
That being said, there is usually a sliding scale of ethics that the more expensive something is to absorb, the less likely one wants to entertain such things.
