Dang, we should have worked something out. I would have gladly sold you the 7" that is coming in mine.

I am 99% sure I am going to go with Insane Audio, which is the main reason I decided not to wait to see if UC5 came out.

I considered just upgrading the radio but also wanted the bigger, colorized gauge cluster as well as that looked like a difficult upgrade.

It’s part of the frame and has lights behind it. You can change the color, but that’s it. I’m thinking of buying this unit too.

Anyone in the Dallas area want to head downtown and clue us in on what's going on down there? Stellantis hasn't updated their virtual auto show page, and neither has Texas. It's officially open to the public as of this morning.

I didn’t see much except a Texas Trail as far as JTs go. The new Compass was there, didn’t bother to look at it.

I looked at the e new Tundra and was underwhelmed. The TremorF150 however is a darn nice truck and would be my choice for a full size.

There’s a countdown on Jeep’s website for the 2022 Grand Cherokee including the 4xe. I’m guessing that’s it for this year as far as major announcements unfortunately.

Whatever it is, I assume it wouldnt be to hard to fix. I cant imagine its impossible to black out with paint/marker/etc. Especially since you can change the color, so just make it something extremely dark.

Been holding out, but I'll join the bashing train. I cannot stand the aftermarket head units for the JL/JT. They all scream 'look at me' in a car that does not need any help with that. Last thing I wanna do is put a crappy looking radio in my $50K Jeep and then have to stare at their freeloading advertisement every time I get in. Reminds me of this stuff back in the early 00s:

I'm not bashing the product - seem a great sweet spot on Quadratec of available other head units. I saw Insane, some $3k head unit (right...), or some Alpine units that look out of place.

this was TOTALLY Me 10 minutes ago = saw a Recon Wrangler & fussed at the sales guy that I can’t order 35’s on an earth-colored JT. He got a little afraid & apologized
