This the exact same thing that happened to me. The Rubicon ended up being around $2,000 more than the Willys I had built out after the discounts and incentives.
Exactly, $2,000 won't get you anywhere near front and rear lockers + disconnecting sway bar + the rubi sticker street cred with the soccer moms.

Looking back at the start of this thread and people worried to order a 21 in March because the 22’s would be released in a couple of months. We were so young and foolish then.

damn i wonder why they were telling me in the dealership the 21 orders are still going? Could it be a regional thing?
The dealers will do anything to get you in the dealership, and I am sure they are happy to accept your order of a 2021 with deposite and appologize to you later if they have to give you a 2022 at possibly a higher price. Of course you can get your deposite back if it goes this way.

No source, didn't mean to hype you up - the Stellantis media site has said this for as long as I have been checking. It has info on other 22's posted but not the JL/JT.

It's just the easiest thing to check to see if they have officially announced anything.

I just checked the updated FCA Affiliates discount list as of October 1, 2021. Gladiator is still listed but Wrangler is not.

This is visible on the vehicles page once you login on FCAAffiliates.com

i noticed this as well when I logged in (for the first time) to generate my control number. I believe that it does state that it is for MY2021 vehicles. Though this may be because ‘22s aren’t available yet

Legitimate question - with the insane chip shortage creating a historical market for used vehicles, how many of you anticipate trading your MY21 for a MY22? I read a number of the MY20 people did that this summer when upgrading to the MY21.

It's either a complete marketing fail, or genius.

I am seriously contemplating it and will order another one through Gupton. Really depends on what is new/changed with 22.

I feel like unless a person didn’t get exactly what they wanted or a new feature or color they should keep their ride. Would suck to trade up and end up with a problem vehicle or missing blind spot monitoring because of a constraint.

If someone offered me 55K for my brand new gladiator and I could still get 8% through Gupton. You bet your ass I’d take the 15K profit, the 7K savings plus any rebates and wait for a 22’. My patience is worth 5K +

I’m sure for most people that scenario would be logical. My luck I’d trade and get a leaky roof and axle truck lol.
