if you do a regear on a base tow package JT you're already halfway to a Max Tow.

I had a hard time justifying the option on my build, it's an extra 1k for something I really am not going to use. I think the absolute most I would ever tow is like 4-5k lbs.

a regear costs more than the upgrade from trailer package to max tow package. Max tow has wider axles, anti-spin rear diff, daytime running lamps, different tires, and that sticker that shows a max tow capability of 7650lb and 1550lb payload.

If you assume every minute the line is down costs money (which it does), then the time shouldn't be any longer than it takes to retool for whatever the next model year brings. I have to assume swapping a few hoppers worth of paint doesn't take any time at all. If the worst case scenario is a zero change carryover year announced via nothing more than an updated dealer order guide, then every day that goes by makes that scenario seem less likely. So... I hope they take their time?

Interesting Note...in Canada I can get a 2022 Ford F150 Tremor Fully Loaded for the same price as a Diesel Rubicon( loaded). Am I crazy for still wanting a JT? Please tell me i'm not? Now that I think of it, the JT will be far more expensive. The JT will be modded! and lots of them ... the F-150 I will leave alone! Dammit Jeep, why do you have convince my brain that WANT is better than NEED!

You are crazy. Very crazy. That said, I think a lot of us here are fairly irrational when it comes to vehicles, so you are among peers.

The line isnt down out of choice tho. The line is backed up months in orders, it appears. Seeing as the switchover to MY22 should have happened this summer and production estimates the end of November - - they arent losing any money on orders. They are losing it because of chip/worker shortages. Opening up MY22 doesnt solve that issue.

Opening up MY22 is just going to create a lot of pissed off customers when Dealers tell them 4-8 weeks and it turns into 4 months.

My money is on October 6th. I have been calling around to a couple of dealerships looking for hidden gems in terms of pricing for a Gladiator on the lot and everyone told me use the TL discount while I could, ordering for 22’s won’t start until mid-October, deliveries starting late November.

Logic for October 6th is that dealerships lie, make what they have seem more appealing, and what you want and can’t have seem less so. Also, haven’t we had Jeep reveals the last 2 Wednesdays?
Daniel from Gupton told me to contact him "mid October" when I was ready to order a 2022.

Because the F150 will forever have its tops and doors on and will never go the places your JT can.

Agree, the rational thing would be to buy a fully loaded Nissan Frontier for significantly less cash.
Dammit, there you go, making sense again! you don't belong here with that logic! Go get a job with the government...oh wait, you don't belong there either! LOL! totally joking of course.

I seriously don't know what to do. I mean the Ford dearer is giving me $4,500 more for the trade, but

ITS NOT A JEEP!!!

Yes, all of us here have lost a bit of sanity, am i right?!

That would make sense. Shoot every other mid-size can be had for less money than my moderately optioned JTRD. I was surprised when I realized you can have an equally built Ram 1500 Rebel for roughly the same MSRP.

But I want the seven slot grill!

Can you not trade in at one place and purchase from the other? Have you looked at Vroom/Carvana/Car Max/etc?
