From the article:

"Pricing is another mystery surrounding the Jeep Recon, assuming it goes on sale on schedule in the coming months. Current estimates peg the all-electric off-roader’s starting price in the $60,000 range for a base, stripped-out Sport model, rising to about $75,000 for a Rubicon and possibly as much as $80,000 (or a little bit more) for a luxury-minded Sahara or High Altitude trim."

I get that this is purely speculation, but there's no way anyone is buying this at that pricing.

If you're going to build a vehicle like this, you not only should better make it look a heck of a lot better than your compitition's offerings, it should perform better than your competitor's offerings. To me, this one already fails the "look better than" criteria. It also doesn't look like a luxury vehicle at that price.

Could it also mean that they will evenually kill the Wrangler/Gladiator?

Pretty decent looking land cruiser, honestly.

Don't know anything else about them and don't really care. I'd rather buy a Land Cruiser.

This right here is why Stellantis is going through CEO's every year. No one is paying $60k for a Cherokee with removable doors when you are well into Wrangler/Gladiator money.

It's fine, but not for me.

Funny, this is the first I heard of it.

I don't hate it, but there is no way I'd pay 60K for this over a Rubicon.

Jeep is never going to kill the Wrangler, it is quite literally THE Jeep. Now, will they continue to load it with useless tech and make it more like a car than an off-road 4x4? Of course. But dont worry a Bronco Sport clone isnt going to kill the Wrangler lol. However, I dont think the gladiator will be around forever unfortunately, its been killed off before it probably will be again one day.

I like it! When we were thinking about EVs a year or so ago, we stumbled upon the Euro version and, at that time, they said nothing for the US.
We would love to see them in person
