If it was cheap and had a little gas four banger in it, I'd be down as a daily commuter while the JT stays in the garage. But, it'll start at 50k.

Echoing others on the Bronco sport looks. This is a $35k vehicle, pushing low 40s with the Subaru outback. What they charge for it might be different.

How dare those bastards build another solid axle, removable top 4x4?

Should have come to the internet to find their CEO where everyone is an expert
[/QUOTE

I suspect the “internet” is just as much an expert as management at Stellantis.

Looking at it I think someone at Jeep has the hots for the Ford Explorer, this one looks like the 90s Exploder, and the late gen Grand Cherokees have been following the late gen Ford Explorers in the smooshed top look for some years. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's grown on me a little. Most car designs are derivative anyways.

Pending specs, I'd consider a Recon if it was a mid-size + range extender/generator style power-train, but not electric only. Like the RamCharger they're dithering on. This looks more full-size to me. Also, knowing Stellantis, they'd consider there's enough "content" to charge $100K for this. I'd trust Rivian over Stellantis, or just wait for the new Scout if I was going to take a flier on a new electric platform. At least VW is getting help from Rivian on the Scout.

Everyone forgets about the jeep commander...
Not me, my XK is the daily; the JTR is the toy. 150K miles on it and never had any problems out of it other than a starter, alternator, water pump, front diff mounts, the whole rear axle.... oh, wait....

Oh well, I still love it! :CWL:

Joking aside, if I ever get my SFA swap completed it'll go back to being the weekend toy.

Hey that's still not bad. I think I'm on my 4th starter but all were still under warranty. All things considered, it's been a relatively cheap and reliable vehicle to drive and maintain (other than gas mileage).

Not sure what you’re saying? Do you think this is a solid axle vehicle?? This is independent front and rear…

Looks like a bronco sport with a compass front end. I personally would not buy it. Jeep must have hired some ford engineers.
