That's not a Jeep....... :CWL:
It's at least an FCA product. The awning would have been on my JT by now had it not been delayed. :swear:

That what wont be high enough, the top of the cab for an awning or an RTT?
Not high enough for the awning. The roof top tent you wont be standing under so it can really mount at any height.

I guess it depends on your height, but my awning let's you push the edges up pretty high. I can do some measurements later and get back if you're interested

I didn’t read all the posts.
But I use the alucab shadow awning 270 and have it on the passenger side.

When I pull off the side of the road to make a meal or just to take a break, it is much easier and safer on the passenger side.

I do not like the driver side swing out. Unless I live in Australia or South Africa

that alu cab is nice because it squares off at the back of the vehicle. Mine sticks out several feet past the vehicle on the passenger side, this can be a pro, or a con.

In the US - especially California - I'd go passenger side. There are some really good beach camping spots on the coast where you basically parallel park with your passenger side door facing the ocean. Driver's side is a road. Those specific campgrounds are probably a corner case (no pun intended) but I can definitely see times I'd like to use the awning over a sidewalk when parked.
perhaps i was lucky that mine came with broken plastic cover screws and holes in the cover. Gave me time to think more. I'm flipping to passenger side, lol.

When is somebody going to design a tonneau cover with a 52" wide TV that comes out of the bed so I can watch tv in a parking lot on sundays?
Yeah. It could just fold down from the ceiling Lol. Actually you can get a projector like for watching movies outdoors. I think you can stream it from your phone and use your Bluetooth speaker. With the wall of the awning down We’ll need I say more?lol

So i was just shopping awning and I noticed a big price difference. At first I couldn’t figure it out then duh looked closer and realized the expensive one only covers the length of the bed. It’s like a 1000 more for the door area. It’s more than twice as much for not twice as much coverage. My question to you if you s running the full size 270 is it worth it?
