There is a whole thread on here for which 37's fit under the bed, if you want to go that route. There are about 3 or 4 (that I know of) tire-carrier bumpers out there that will hold up to and past a 37" as well.

I went with the Kaymar. To me, its the most all-inclusive bumper that exists right now, and it holds my 40" with no problem

I vote under the bed for the cheapest solution... even if you have to buy a Clayton adjustable "bent" rear track bar (msrp $259) or a Rock Krawler Pro-X upgrade 4-link (msrp $715) to eliminate the track bar to make it fit.

But to your question... here's a couple more options.

I installed a Clayton rear track bar so I can run a 38" under the bed. No issues at all, I even ran the Rubicon trail with it there.

Why not mount the 37" underneath the bed? Save money on buying a fifth wheel, mount your spare to the included steel wheel then you don't have to worry about losing bed or rack space. A 37 will fit underneath the bed.

That was my plan, but I broke my stock winch doing it and since I already had the bed rack I just did that

@Pintage could you please comment on if you are against running the spare in the factory location? Again, what are you looking to accomplish with a "spare wheel carrier" and where do you want the weight? That might cut down on the unsolicited responses you are getting about under-bed options. At the end of the day if you only want a bed mounted carrier it might help focus the limited number of members on here with those solutions to help you.

You're not annoying anyone, I'm just trying to ask specifics to help your search. As far as advise, the factory location is ideal for weight distribution and leaving the bed open for other fun activities.

I purchased this very carrier back in Jul, unfortunately I didn't have time to install it because my Gladiator was in a head-on collision a few days after it arrived. At this moment it's sitting in my garage waiting to be installed on my new-new Gladiator.

Even though I haven't installed it, I can say that (1) I liked it enough to buy it and (2) the build quality is outstanding! Let me know if you'd like to see some raw photos of the parts laid out in my garage.
