I dropped her off at JK Land outside if Atlanta yesterday. We have a 426 606 going in. I will send progress pictures. Some power steering parts are on back order so I am not expecting it to be a quick turn around.

You sure you want your bill of lading with your name and home address on the web?
I only see the JK Land address, in which I'm sure they don't mind. Free advertising.

Please let us know how this goes! I'm a GA resident and considering JK Land vs. just sending it to AMW for my eventual swap if it ever happens.

Was there any reason besides MO POWA why you chose the 426 over the 392?

I've have been very pleased with all their work and communication up to date. I had them earlier this year, upgrade my stock axles and suspension in prep for this. The owner Steve is involved in all the builds and is easily accessible.

I wanted to stay with naturally aspirated but just wanted something different than the 392. I am not big on rock crawling or doing donuts in the Winn Dixie parking lot but wanted plenty of power when I am ready for it.

I will keep everyone posted

Nice. My 392 swap should be coming in today.

I have a little 426 FOMO and was trying very hard to justify it, but the ~12k difference pushed me out of my "logic" behind going 392. I was considering trading in for a JLR 392; there was about a $12-$14K delta giving up my beloved Gator JTR for the JLR versus just swapping w/ the 392. So...saving money or something (lol)?

However, I'm not sure how long my truck will be out of commission, and we will be down to one car with this in the shop. I've been stalking FB marketplace for a shitbox that will get me through for <$5K...so an added expense.

I debated about just doing the 392 and I am sure I would have been more than satisfied. I rationalized the extra $ by convincing myself that I will keep this Jeep forever. I have regretted getting rid of every Jeep I have ever owned. I would have had the coolest collection of Jeeps by now. It is a 2020 model, so I did delay gratification until all the stars aligned. I am happy I pulled the trigger and did not settle.

I chose a diesel specifically so I couldn’t be tempted by this swap. Yet here in just a few months ive spent that and then some.

guys like our toys. Definitely jealous of the sound!

Absolutely, I share the same sentiment about keeping forever post-swap. The truck is paid off (well technically not anymore 😬). Enjoy and keep us updated. I should be starting my thread soon as well, but I think people might be "392'd out".

I think we all want to listen to the sound clips you will post. Its kinda like some other things, you've seen one you've seen them all, but nope we're still gonna look. In this case we're still gonna listen.
