Guy parked next to me. I was kinda hoping they would mate after he raved about the acceleration.
Did not off road it and from talking to him, he probably won't.

Dead ass quiet. I should have shot video. No noise pulling from curb.

I drove one, then the diesel, then bought a JLU with the V6 and a Gladiator with the V6.

I didn't not like it, but it wasn't for me as I plan to off road this thing a lot and have a 'fast car' for the acceleration side.

I'll admit, I was excited to see it. Asked him about it. His exact words were "fast for a Jeep"
When I asked how it wheeled, he made a face.
Still cool. Never saw one before.

Passed one on a Jeep Badge of Honor trail a month ago, pretty neat. Also all electric vehicles could be completely silent, they make a little noise on purpose for pedestrian safety.

Totally agree with his assessment. Still want the 392!

There is a youtube of a guy bracket racing his and it seems to haul some ass.

The few I have seen in the wild were being driven by the same demographic who were buying the Moab and Hardrock editions; bought the highest trim offroad package but keep it in the garage, won't drive in snow and have no idea what any of the buttons and levers are for. BUT it's expensive and anyone who sees it knows it.

My wife has a 4xe High Altitude edition. I am not sure if it is the trim or the electric drivetrain, but this vehicle drives extremely well composed, especially for a jeep. It replaced a Ford explorer limited and no one in the family misses it. I would take that drivetrain in my Gladiator any day. Regardless of green or not it is well integrated and well tuned, gives the jeep plenty of motivation.

lol I saw one downtown in the loop this morning - dead quiet, also no way that thing will get taken off-road. I found the blue accents even less appealing in person than I would have guessed.

Did 2 days in Moab with only 400 miles on my '16 Hardrock! Plenty of people used them for what they were designed for, just like plenty of people will use the 4xe off-road too.

I saw a Sahara 4xe last weekend at a dealer - walked right by it & didn't notice. The only blue was around the Jeep emblems. I thought they all had blue everywhere but meh -

In my area the 4XE will live along side the G55 and Raptor/T-Rex in terms of look at me vehicles. I love see G wagons getting thrashed and will shake the hand of the person drive the first 4XE I see on the trail.

I just feel that a huge % of the fleet are going to just be parking lot queens designed to impress people in line at the valet.

I totally agree, I’m sure they’ll be extremely capable offroad! Looking forward to seeing the 4xE dirty pics too. I went with the old school V6’s mostly because I’ve had them, cleaned them, and worked on them.

that’s not to say that the 4xE wouldn’t be just as capable, I just wanted to wait on one knowing that I get nuts with the submersion sometimes and wanted to see some more data before buying. I look forward to seeing that unfold.

awesome stuff…
