I thought I read the cruise control on the manual transmission will NOT disengage if a gear change is needed...Is this correct or is this correct with something like a Tazer? Am I losing my mind?
Generally with a MT vehicle if the cruise is on and the vehicle doesn't have enough power to maintain speed in the gear you are in. (Like if you are going up a hill in top gear) it will go to wide open throttle and just lug it out.I thought I read the cruise control on the manual transmission will NOT disengage if a gear change is needed...Is this correct or is this correct with something like a Tazer? Sure...This is exactly what all my previous vehicles have done. Im going to have to figure out where I read this, almost certain it was on this site.Generally with a MT vehicle if the cruise is on and the vehicle doesn't have enough power to maintain speed in the gear you are in. When you step on the clutch the cc disengages.
No, you arent overthinking but I would also think this is something that could easily disengage but could be completely wrong...I would think it would disengage once your clutch in. Otherwise You would down shift and in neutral the rpm's would just shoot sky high no? Maybe I'm over thinking it.
Not on Volkswagens. I sure wish the Jeep was the same. Volkswagen does manual transmission cruise control right! It auto reengages when you shift. No one else seems to do that thoughGenerally with a MT vehicle if the cruise is on and the vehicle doesn't have enough power to maintain speed in the gear you are in. Vws don't. They automatically disengage and reengage every time you shift. It's a thing of beauty and I was spoiled. I forgot other manufacturers don't work that way. My 08 and my '19 VW did. The 73 and the 97 don't even have cruise control thoughNo, you arent overthinking but I would also think this is something that could easily disengage but could be completely wrong...
That’s why I am shocked Jeep put cc on a manual wrangler/gladiator. The motor constantly bogs down on the highway.Generally with a MT vehicle if the cruise is on and the vehicle doesn't have enough power to maintain speed in the gear you are in. Jeep wants to keep the nice 23mpg hwy for manual hence the doggy 3.7 grear axleThat’s why I am shocked Jeep put cc on a manual wrangler/gladiator. The motor constantly bogs down on the highway.
Not true. My Mojave has 4:10 factory. It depends on the model.Jeep wants to keep the nice 23mpg hwy for manual hence the doggy 3.7 grear axle
