Some bumpers act like they are more important than the entire Jeep itself. They smother the entire front of the Jeep, they demand more attention than the Jeep, the weigh a ton, they look lopsided and heavy and silly. So stubby is my preference. For those who like massive, full-width monstrosities, I could agree with you. But then we'd both be wrong. :)
Haha I'm with you there. Why not throw on a grumper while you're at it lol. Some people like that shit. I say spend your money where it makes a difference, not on AESTHETICS! Holy crap a lot of money gets spent on aesthetics that do NOTHING to improve anything. Spend that money on your wife, not your Jeep hahaha.. I spend the money where it actually improves something. My XJ is quite ugly after years of actual wheeling, but not $1 was spent making it "look good" Cheap steel rock crawler wheels etc. But that's a different story I guess. Spend your money how you wish.

"I could agree with you. But then we'd both be wrong. :)"
or.. as I like to say,
"you could say that, but you'd be wrong"

Just want to hear everyone's opinions. I usually prefer shorty's but im kinda liking the lod signature series full length for the Gladiator
A priority is the off-road lighting configuration..... One must be sure they are large enough and mounted in a spot high enough to avoid being in the way, yet remain functional. I prefer this model.....

Yada, yada, yada. But the coolness factor is off the chain! (Getting close).
He has some very good points, but if cool is all you are after, then go for it.

I have this exact bumper on order. I like it because (a) clearance, but (b) fender proection and (c) its a BEAST from ARB. I can't wait! They just released their rear bumper too - not sure I am as impressed but we'll see.
You’ll love for all the reasons you described. In addition the ArB fit and finish is top notch.

I know I’ll end up dropping the coin on the rear too, I’m a bit of an ARB fan boy.

I have the factory steel bumper and run it stubby. No serious off-roading, it's just the look I prefer. If I were buying, I'd probably go with the ARB Bondi which is more of a hybrid.

Hahahah me too. Have one of their bull bars on my 03 LR Disco - which sadly I sold a few weeks ago. I beat the crap out of it and it never flinched.

OEM steel in stubby configuration is without a doubt in my eyes the best looking bumper on the market.

Functionally it could be argued that there are better, but I hate me some shit that looks like a shop class project, and that is about 99.985% of the aftermarket Jeep bumpers.

That aside, I can't hardly wait to see what kind of Rube Goldberg ridiculously obnoxious looking shit the Bronco guys start strapping on their shit in a couple years when they actually get one.

OEM steel bumper, stubby style. I'm not sure if I'll leave it like this or not. Right now, it's only exposing my need for bigger tires.

I guess I couldn't make up my mind either....so I went with a mid-width.
