That is completely ridiculous. Does the factory know another department in Jeep has the bumpers.![]()
Different company.
The bumpers are placed on in Mobis not FCA.

Apparently our lights haven't been connected yet (we just put the steel bumper and and extra skid on last week). Dealership is going to do it for us in two weeks. I don't yet know the cost, but the have to get the kit for it to work. Will let you know price when I find it out. Paid $500 for the steel bumper from someone who upgraded their front bumper and ~$200 for the skid the fits below the steel bumper (the existing skid for the non steel bumper doesn't fit).In the installation instructions it only shows a single harness to install. I will find out soon enough i suppose.
Opened the box and the bumper already has fog lights and harness, so looks like we are good. You might also need a separate wiring kit/harness for the LED lights. I needed to purchase the extra wiring when I did the same thing with my JLUR.
Great news! I had to buy my components piecemeal. Your bundle sounds like a more efficient way to go.Opened the box and the bumper already has fog lights and harness, so looks like we are good.

The web site says the Gladiator Rubicon is not available. What part number did you order? I would imagine the JL Rubicon is the same. So just order the JL one and that works.
I like the Factory steel bumper but then you have to buy that pricey winch kit so it’s not as good as better built bumpers for same cost. I chose this Hauk Predator bumper powder coated factory red LED lights included winch ready for $1000.![]()
I think it’s BMP-7083 JL should be the same i sent an E-mail and they replied it would fit & it is a perfect fitThe web site says the Gladiator Rubicon is not available. What part number did you order? I would imagine the JL Rubicon is the same. So just order the JL one and that works.
I think I'd just have to put a button on that winch rope and pull it up to the fairlead. The web site says the Gladiator Rubicon is not available. What part number did you order? I would imagine the JL Rubicon is the same. So just order the JL one and that works.
Does it, for sure, need a different skid plate? I ordered the JT with standard bumper so I wouldn't be waiting. Going to either order steel upgrade or an after marketOpened the box and the bumper already has fog lights and harness, so looks like we are good.

You can rock it minus the skid, really not a big deal as long as your not going off-roading while it’s off, I’ll let u know when I get it installed.Does it, for sure, need a different skid plate? There is a skid pan specific to the steel bumper that also serves as mounting/support for it.Hey bud, can you maybe help clarify the skid deal. I have a skid directly behind my factory plastic rubicon bumper. I believe that is for the sway bar disconnect setup. Is there an additional skid needed with the steel bumper?
It’s not noticeable but you are right it would be betterI think I'd just have to put a button on that winch rope and pull it up to the fairlead.
Does that throw a shadow with the rope across that fog light like that?
