2021 Rubicon with 27k miles. Driving at night through the mountains of W VA, the system flaked out, check engine light came on, and cut off the throttle. After turning the car off and then back on, I was able to drive the car the rest of the way home, but with no cruise control. Going to dealer TH to see what the deal is... maybe a sensor failure?

Mine freaked over the weekend and said it was unavailable. Next vehicle restart it was fine and functional. Continuing to monitor.

Silly thing to add is to make sure the windshield is clean out the front at the top where the adaptative sensor is. I'm pretty sure it has a specific error for when that is dirty but it's worth checking if you see this.

I had the ACC quit working after someone cut in front of me and set off the FCW. After a restart it was back to normal. Keeping the window clean over the camera and radar box is a good idea.

I wiped of the windshield over the sensor - check engine light now off. Still going to have dealer look at it...

Also, if you are ever in really heavy crosswind you can get these errors. The jeep does not like going straight with the ACC on, while you have the steering wheel constantly turned into the wind.

It will reset after a couple cycles of the ignition if this happens though.

It didn't bother us today. Winds so bad I felt like I was going around a constant curve and my normal 19-20 mpg turned to 15. Wind warnings and advisories all over the place. I had ACC on the whole way from home to Overland Park and back (and got almost 23 mpg on the way back home!)

Your wheel must REALLY be off!

Yeah, actually it is great. It's one of the better ACC systems I've ever used. (2020 Gladiator Rubicon LE, 2021 JLUR, 2023 JTRD, all with ACC)

It works at low speeds and will even come to a complete stop when in traffic. Lots of other systems won't do this. I have had zero complaints with our 3 vehicles that have it.

The wheel was perfectly centered. But going across northern IA and NE one trip in the spring with HEAVY constant crosswinds with gusts on top set it off. One of the most mentally fatiguing drives of my life.

We also had a RSI SmartCap installed and a RTT on top of that. Lots of cross section to get pushed around. The wheel was turned several degrees to compensate.

It's the only time we had it do that, but it happened a couple times that day until the wind settled down.

We only had my truck today - yeah, the bed was loaded with 7 big rolls of cotton batting for my wife's long-arm quilting machine. But that didn't raise the profile to the point of a cap for sure.
I drove down and back today and am EXHAUSTED fighting the wind. Then every grove or hill we passed, every semi that went around us - my wife said "must be windy, you are all over the place" after a big truck just finished passing us LOL.

Got this error message today as well. ACC and Cruise not avail. Was driving from Phx to LA. Windy, but not bad. Did pass some big trucks when I noticed it on the dash. At refuel and restart zero issues. Worked perfectly the rest of the way home. I did miss it for the first two hours of the trip :)

Just remember it is Mothman season here in WV ;) - mine cuts off like this in my Tahoe and the best guess is we have is the radar may be picking up something from the side of the road like a rock face and confusing the system.

Did the dealer fix this or did it go away?

I had this happen on a road trip a couple days ago and it still won't go away after several key cycles.

It was windy and going 80 mph on the interstate it cut out

Mine fixed itself after some cycles.
