Bought a loaded Rubicon without it and glad it's not there. Dealership says they don't order is as most don't want it.

Love it! A must have on the highway. Would not buy without it.

Who has the Adaptive Cruise Control? How do you like it?
With the JT being my Daily Driver, I keep going back and forth on if I want to try and locate one with Adaptive Cruise Control.
We have ACC on out Nissan Murano and find it useful on the highways with some traffic.

Edit: How does it compare to other manufactures?
I have it on mine, but it’s not as smooth as what I had on my Subaru Outback. It helps with mileage as well.

It's not an option I would have normally bought. I'm a less nanny stuff guy.

That being said, it was on the Rubicon I bought and it was a 240 mile ride from the dealer to home. I used it and once I got it figured out, I loved it. I now use the ACC anytime I have a trip that is not a local around town trip.

I love it so far, but i read when the windshield breaks, its more expensive to replace.
True, it needs to be recalibrated and insurance treats it as a collision not a windshield replacement so you get charged for your deductible.

Does it stop completely if traffic is stopped and then just goes again with traffic? I have never had this but its coming standard on one I ordered and have no idea how it works.

I don't have it on my JT but my wifes' Toyota Highlander has it and its very nice when on the freeway not so much in heavier traffic. Wanted to get it when I bought my JT but not for the added price Jeep was trying to charge for features I thought should have been included at the price point we were paying.

Good question. I don't know. It's really good at slowing down and resuming speed as the following distance allows but I have not used it in stop and go traffic.

Edit: I just looked at the manual. If the vehicle stops as a result of ACC action, it will restart the forward motion of the vehicle up to the set speed unless the vehicle was stopped for more than 2 seconds.
ACC Operation At A Stop
(Automatic Transmission Only)
In the event that the ACC system brings your vehicle to a
standstill while following the vehicle in front, your vehicle
will resume motion without the need for any driver action
if the vehicle in front starts moving within two seconds of
your vehicle coming to a standstill.
If the vehicle in front does not start moving within two
seconds of your vehicle coming to a standstill, the ACC
with Stop system will cancel and the brakes will release.
A cancel message will display on the instrument cluster
display and produce a warning chime. Driver intervention
will be required at this moment.
While ACC with Stop is holding your vehicle at a standstill,
if the driver seat belt is unbuckled or the driver door is
opened, the ACC with Stop system will cancel and the
brakes will release. A cancel message will display on the
instrument cluster display and produce a warning chime.
Driver intervention will be required at this moment.

I have it on my wife's JLUR and love it but didn't get it on my JTR. I bought mine new off the lot and had to prioritize features I wanted. The transfer case with Auto 4H was a higher priority than Adaptive Cruise or LEDs and I couldn't find one near me with all of them.

The only issue I have with Adaptive Cruise it is that I'll sometimes end up in the slow lane driving way below my intended speed because I didn't notice that we were going slower.

Yes and No.
The jeep will come to a full stop, then beep at you, then disengage the brake and you start rolling forward. You have to get press the brake to stop the jeep rolling forward and then release the brake when you want to move again, and manually resume by hitting the resume button on your cruise control.
If traffic starts again before the jeep disengages, then it will automatically continue adaptive cruise.

It's actually one of the things I dislike about it. In my other vehicles that had the feature, the vehicle would not disengage and start rolling forward like the jeep does. To re-engage cruise you could hit the gas pedal a bit, or use the resume button but the vehicle stayed in a stopped position until action was taken.

I’ve had it on my last two jeeps and would not own a vehicle without it. No issue with it on either vehicle.
