You’ll be extremely happy with this one...
How is the noise level? (I've heard some people complain about rattling with other brands of retractables.)

Any concern about the finish and scratches vs. the polymer versions offered by other manufacturers?

Just had the Truck Covers USA cover installed this week. Couldn't be happier with it.

Would you mind taking a picture when the cover is fully retracted inside the bin? I like the look but don't like how it takes some space in the back of the bed

Tell me about the function of your tonneau. Can you open and close the tailgate without having to move the tonneau? How is the seal?

Looks fantastic.
It's an awesome cover. Yes, you can open the tailgate without touching the cover. It's got nice, tight retraction to the very small canister at the front of the bed, so tight that you have to ease it back by holding on to a leash that is tethered to the end of the cover (feels like if you just let go of the leash, the cover would whip back to the canister like a window blind). You have full control of the cover from standing at the tailgate; no need to walk to either side or the front of the bed at all for any reason. And the leash is essentially a four-foot long seat belt. Excellent quality. When closing the cover over the bed, you can close it at several positions (I think three different positions in total), about every 12-16 inches. As far as being watertight, I will report back. It's been raining here in PA for two days and I've had a cardboard box back there the whole time, so I will see tonight. I can tell you that as part of the install, they had to drill small holes at the two rear corners of the bed so they could run drainage tubes (I guess there are two pre-existing holes at the front of the bed). By design, water gets directed into the tract, which is pitched toward the drainage holes, and then flows down to the ground through the tubes. There's a reason this thing is as expensive as it is. You get what you pay for with this.

No rattling whatsoever. This thing is tight. Extremely well-made.

It's a matte-finish, super strong aluminum. Looks like a very resilient material that would seem to show wear and tear very minimally.

This one looks really functional! Probably easier to use if your carrying something (one handed use?) than the tri-fold. Also, what the heck is going on in the back of this picture? Bunch of cops bustin someone? Lol (Probably shouldnt reply, I dont want to get this thread off topic).

No rattles at all, in fact I believe it makes my truck overall quieter.. Again I did my research and this is the best brand out there. I wouldn’t put anything less on my truck...

Thanks! Also, how easy/fast can you remove the bin?
No clue. I know the install protocol for that cover with our vehicle is for them to put a bead of silicone caulk under the side edges and along the canister side of the cover. On the canister side, you see the silicone, so I imagine that upon removing that, you'd have to deal with removing that caulk residue. I have no intention of ever removing this, so I'm not concerned, personally. As far as the holes they have to drill in the bed, you can buy plugs for that.

Lol. Funny story. I had just arrived home from work when I took this pic. Two patrol vehicles were parked on my street, monitoring a racoon that had been hit by a car but was still alive, as they waited for animal control to arrive. As I was going in the house, I noticed the racoon started to walk across the street into my neighbor's yard (don't think they were expecting that). Moments later from inside my house I hear gun shots, and figured they put the thing down. Then a minute later, more gun shots. And a minute later, more gun shots. I go outside, look across the street at my neighbor's yard and see three cops, one of whom was standing over the racoon with her gun drawn, and she's still firing. I swear they must've emptied a 15-round mag of .40 cal into this thing, LOL. #zombieracoon

Hey all! I just picked up my gladiator a couple weeks ago. I'm looking at the best cover to put on the back. It came with the Mopar soft cover which I hate (so if anybody wants one cheap just let me know)! Anyhow, I want one that I can lock stuff in the bed with, but that I can also store stuff on the top of. So far, I've only found two that seem to fit those qualifications - the USA truck covers rolling thing (don't remember the name) and the Diamondback. Are there any others that I don't know of that I should be looking at. I like the idea of the Diamonback the most, but would be happier if I could fold it all the way out of the way instead of just having to take the whole thing off for moving bigger things.

A little update for the Mopar Aluminum cover. Its NOT waterproof. I would say only water resistant. After some consistent, light drizzle and a quick drive at lunchtime, there is some water getting in from 2 spots. Where the panels meet (not expected), and in the tailgate corners (where I expected). As I read some guys taking about trying to keep luggage dry and stuff during holiday travels, I figured this would be some good info. (See pics).

I took out the screws on the last crossbar with locking clamps. The are self tapping, so we should be able to move the crossbar back a half inch or so and replace the screws. I’m waiting until a warmer day before I do it.
Ref the Tyger...

I did this and moved the cross bow up.

I used a little bit better self tappers than the ones in it.

It’s fine now.
