Are you bragging or confessing to your vice:LOL:
Actually, the latter. I'm semi-serious. Why in the world did I bring home so many of the tools from Dad's garage after he died? Like I needed more. I have a bench upstairs covered in wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, sockets - and for what? Who needs 5 sets of allen wrenches?

Be very careful if visiting - you might end up with a few tools and spare parts in the back of your truck.
My wife already gives away things - any of her friends or relatives say "oooooh, I really like that quilt" my wife is pulling it off the shelf and giving it to them.
She's afraid of having to deal with my stuff if anything happens to me.

You’ve stated the wheels arent technically the correct size, how far off are they? It’s not like the wheel is just wider the hub isn’t the correct size and the lugs didn’t fit. If the JT hub is smaller isn’t their going to be a small amount of slop around the hub. Sounds like the lug is having to carry more than it’s designed load. Then again I’m no expert.

You can get the free WAVE program oil changes done at any dealership. As for the tire issue, I had the same thing when I got some new tires at a Sears Center, got one mile out of town, about five mikes total, and lost a wheel. Needless to say Sears fixed all the damage, but I lost a day in my trip. I would notify the dealership shop what had happened. Factory wheels or not, they should have been remounted properly.
Cheers
You seem to have too many mikes.............

I'll check my payload and back right up to the shop:LOL:

You may not be an expert, but you think logically. The original wheels are hub-centric.
They index on and center on the hub. If you use a wheel that doesn't fit the hub correctly then it has to center on the lug bolts/nuts and that can mean you need to torque, drive a bit, retorque, etc. because you have to use the nuts to draw the wheel to center.
If the wheel is a tad snug on the hub then it may not sit flat when tightened down - again, trouble.

The lugs should be the correct ones. The dealership put them on before I picked up the truck. I can take photos of the space between the wheel and the hub once I pick it up after work. Between tire sizes, wheel sizes, backspacing, lug size hub size and anything else I'm missing I am lost. This could very easily be my fault for being uneducated on the matter.

What would you recommend? New wheels?

It is absolutely dizzying. Years ago I had to keep track of what wheels worked on what other cars because people were always coming in and looking for a wheel to fit a 1978 Ford whatever and I had to know what wheels would work. Chevy, nope - but not all Chevy wheels were identical either. It isn't any better today - and like you say - with the backspacing, offset, width, bolt pattern, hub size..........it can get really crazy.
It's a lot harder when there's the weight of the tire on the already heavy 17" wheel trying to be sure of fitment, and so on.
A properly fitting wheel can be put on over the lug bolts, sit flat against the hub face and be turned on the hub, but not moved up and down or side to side - meaning it should fit that hub and not be sloppy on it.
It also shouldn't be a struggle to take off once the nuts are taken off, or a struggle to put on over the hub.

Hey, if you ever want to sell some of your tools, I would be interested . I especially like old Made in USA ones...

Sounds like if things slow down a bit I need to go through things and start weeding out, especially in the garage where I have some things in there just because I thought I'd need or use them there.
Then figure out what I want to keep for tools in the woodworking shop so I can clean off the bench and get back to projects up there.

I have so many sockets they won't all fit in my tool chests.
I have a quarter inch drive, 2 half inch drive and 2 three-eighths inch drive. Come to think if it I may have 3 half-inch drive torque wrenches.
Engine and transmission building, differential rebuilds, they are absolutely necessary.

(these are about half of the sockets I have....)

First world problems
It's a problem according to my wife who is afraid as heck something will happen to me and she'll be stuck dealing with all of this. So I had to make arrangements with a friend that if anything happens to me, he comes over from Indiana, goes through my thousands of pounds of AMC parts, engines, transmissions, tubs of suspension parts, shelves of springs, shelves of NOS and used wiper motors, TSMs, TSBs, and more - and figures out what it all is, what it's worth, and get it sold or auctioned off. In exchange, he has choice of one of my cars.
There's valve grinder, valve seat/head tools, boring bar, rod hone, press, chop saw, blast cabinets, big compressor, Kent-Moore tools from the AMC shop I worked at, body tools, sanders, etc., hones, cam bearing installation tools, micrometers up to 5", dial indicators, paint guns, powder coating equipment............. several hundred pounds of pure zinc bars, antique tools..............
He'll earn that car for sure.
I suspect that's why my wife is trying so hard to keep me healthy - she's afraid of being stuck dealing with all of that.

... The wheels are off of my JK and the dealer swapped them out for me when I picked up my truck and tradded in my JK. ...
Are the wheels OEM or aftermarket? I ask because OEM wheels provide clearance for a small clip that is sometimes used on the manufacturing line to hold the brake disk in place as the vehicle moves down the line. When installing aftermarket wheels, they usually don't provide clearance for that clip. So, the installer needs to remove them. If they don't, then the wheel will not set fully against the axle, and gradual rocking will cause the lug nuts to work loose. If you look at this image, you can see a couple of them on the lugs ...

I have been running factory JK wheels on my JT for the last 4k miles, so far no problems but I put them on and torqued them myself.
