I hear you. I am only going up to 35's. I am hoping it doesn't look too bad. I still have the stock 33's on and the gap is very noticeable.
The customer only had the Alu-Cab Canopy, not the camper, so I am sure the camper squats them a little more. But his gap looked visually to be 10" or more

Do you happen to know the specific model numbers (or sizes) on the hinges and latch? Thank you for sharing this great idea. I have the 813 Fabrication Rotopax holders and would like to add the panels back on to hide them. Thanks!
I cannot find the info on the latches, but the hinges are Southco - E6-10-416-50 E6/ST Series Constant Torque

Mine is under construction at Asheville Vehicle Outfitters. I am putting a Smarttek Water Heater in it.

Thanks! I was fortunate to see a customers JT with 35s and the AEV 3" springs a few days ago. It is too high for me. I don't plan to ever go to 37s. I have seen them on a few with 37s and it looks good, but with 35s its too much gap. I guess I will try to get the Dobinsons warrantied and get the black this time in hopes that it doesn't look this bad in another year
What about Clayton 2.5" springs? I just got off the phone with them. their standard duty springs are rated for up to 500#'s over factory curb weight (which puts the JTR right about max GVW). Their HD springs are rated at up to 1,000#'s over factory curb weight (so about 500#'s over GVW). They also said their springs factor in front winch/bumper, so with a front winch/bumper, the 2.5" spring would net exactly 2.5" lift - of course there are varying reports of that here with folks seeing closer to 3". They also list their spring rate's - haven't seen anyone else do that yet. I was pleasantly surprised they were willing to give me those specs earlier - last time I called them 6 months ago they would not (or could not) give such spec's.

So for myself that is super helpful info because it allows for a real world guesstimate of where you will be sitting. I have also heard the AEV springs sit a little high but man I didn't know that high.

Also - have you weighted your rig yet? What are you sitting at?

The push lock on the gull wing failed. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement part?

Thanks Steven!
No problem. I just bought a replacement door seal from them awhile ago. My Jeep was used at a few of the overland expos and the seal took a beating from hundreds of people going in and out.

I finally got the upTOP Overland Alpha (front half) installed. I only had to cut about two inches off of the two initial grooveTrek pieces. I still need to wire the lights, but otherwise it’s done. I added the 83L Roam case on top which I plan to put lightweight recovery gear that I will rarely access (soft shackles, straps, etc.) to keep weight down. Here are some pics.

Looks great! I just received my Rugged Bound rack a few days ago and hope to get it mounted this week.

Are experiencing any wind turbulence with the front box installed?
Yes, it's increased. I drove yesterday with just the rack installed without the box, and the wind had increased. I'm not sure it's worse with the box, than with just the rack. I need more time to drive and listen to it, since it was a snowy mess on my drive this morning.
