The AluCab table will fit between the bed and fixed platform..in case you all didn't know.

I love this table mount, I just can't justify the table and the mount when we have a table that works reasonably well ...

Would this be better? No question, it definitely would. Ah, maybe down the road at some point.

I should have added a picture as to fitment of the table. I'll see how it works in usage as it isn't attached to the bed platform so when the beds up may be in the way.

Question for with an Alu-Cab Camper on the Gladiator. Has anyone run 37" tires with the ALu-Cab? If so, I assume you modified the suspension, coils, brakes, and ever gearing? I am looking at getting an Alu-Cab to my current Jeep (2020 Jeep Gladiator) and want the insurance of greater clearance for the trails in Arkansas.

Any learnings? I am fortunate the budget is not as much a concern as making sure I can get what makes my solo overland trips enjoyable.

Thanks in Advance.

Also running 37s (Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT) on the AEV 2.5" High Capacity

It is one TALL son of a gun, especially from the rear with the springs ready for more weight than is currently on there (lots of rake). I'm running stock gears still and while it's far from awful, it's also not the best either. I have to drive in manual mode on the 8 speed a lot so it doesn't over rev all the time.

In short, depending on your build be ready to introduce a step or realize that it can be difficult to access some stuff if you're average height or below.

Thanks for the note on height. I am only 5'8" so getting in will be fun. How tall is your rig?

Thanks to all for the replies.

I'm 5'9" so I feel that, I absolutely bring a foot stool with me :)

Measuring as best I can it's just a hair over 8'. Certainly under 8'6" otherwise I would have taken out a drive thru or two..

Still shorter than my prior JLU with a roof rack/tent.

You have a newer style door. Mine, ordered in late spring of 2022 does not have any t-slot. But it looks like your estimate is realistic.
As an FYI:

The table top is currently exactly 925mm (36.5 inches) from the ground. Our kitchen countertop is exactly 920mm. Ha!

This will probably go up/down depending on load and what I'll do with the rear springs long term, but it's pretty much what I wanted.

Need to put the cutting board in and remove the plastic wrap, but it got too late today ...

So ... since I'm now starting to think about the "upper quadrants" of the door – the panel with the Redvision display, would this fit a new style door with extrusion as well? Do you know?

As you can see in my photo from the post before, I have the table sorted now, so the next questions are:
  • How do I mount a Last US Bag Half Caddy? I have one already here, thinking that I'd use the "left upper quadrant" for this.
  • How to move the Redvision display to a place where it's more useful than "around the corner"?
  • Where would I put a roll of paper towels?
I'm happy to design something on my own, but if I can save time and it addresses the above questions, I'm open to suggestions ...

Ok, let me know when you are ready. I will double check, but almost positive that the spacing of the channel is the same, they just updated to the C channel to be like the Alu-Cabin.
Unbelievable how long ago this was ... Today we finally mounted the load bars. Still thinking about what to mount where. There are things I'm not certain where to mount/store them, although the rear door is the obvious choice for some of them:
  • 2x two gallon diesel Rotopax (preferably near the hinges)
  • 1x 43" shovel
  • 1x Storage for some "dirty diesel thingies" (Ai13 filler neck, gloves, ...)
  • Trash – although we have an idea for that
Again, happy to design something myself, also happy to find pre-existing solutions ... ;-)
