Yeah I have also looked at your smaller mount and the in cab mount. Where are you putting your house battery?

That's what I thought as well. But the bed isn't super large. Care to share a pic? Just tryin to pre-plan some wiring as best as possible.
I have the Genesis Dual Battery setup under the hood powering all of the lighting and 12V for the camper. I also have a Bluetti 70/solar panels to use for more power. I also have the Cascadia 4x4 hood-mounted solar panel trickle charging the batteries with it going to the secondary battery first. This month I have a few shows I am going to and will get to test everything better to see how it all works together.

Soo you’re using just an AGM for your house battery? What’s the ah rating off it? Curious to see how that works for you!

This is what I have along with a set of their 200W solar panels.

Oh ok that makes more sense. But your using the genesis dual battery to power everything until it runs low? I wouldnt think that would take long. AGM’s dont have much of a ah rating i thought.

how do you like the hood mount solar? I was looking at one too but curious if they cause paint damage over time.

I don't have much running through the camper, mostly lights, so it should do well. I am going to keep my fridge plugged into it also this weekend to see how well it does. My Bluetti will run the fridge approx 50 hrs on one charge.

The solar works well so far, but I don't have a monitor connected, so not sure the exact numbers. The panel comes with a vinyl sticker to go on the hood first, so no real worries about the paint.

let us know your results :)

I am undecided on either a permanent but removable (for winter) battery setup or a total movile solution like jackery or goal zero. I think National Luna has some good options to consider as well. Its a hard choice.

That was my goal. I don't want it all in the truck other than when I need it for camping. Plus, when my wife are working remotely we can setup outside to enjoy the weather and have the battery beside us for the computers. With the build in the bed, I won't be doing a Goose Gear style cabinet build. It's too much daily weight and I need the bed space for daily UPS deliveries.

Seems like we may have a similar goal.

Anyone here have an accurate weight for the Alu-Cab they can share? I know their website claims 462 - 551 pounds depending on configuration. Just curious to see if anyone can verify this. Just realized the payload I have is quite a bit lower than what I thought it was for some reason, so trying to figure if this will even functionally work considering other planned things.

Would also be curious if anyone has visited a CAT scale fully outfitted for a weekend adventure.

ouch! Thats heavy! I am assuming you have a rubicon? Is it optioned out? That only leaves 390 pounds for food, water, gear, etc…. If one wants to stay within gvw anyway.
how is your camper outfitted with options?
