WD40 seemed to help. Much smoother now.

Didn't think it would help. My problem is trying to get the key to slip in. Seems like you have to line it up perfectly. Don't think I've had this problem before with any key and lock. It's getting to be a bit annoying and sometimes frustrating.

I think my canopy is set to far forward, the strip on the back door is inside the tailgate, how does mine compare to others,

There's not much you can do with placement. The placement will be based off how the rear hatch latches. Too far back (towards tailgate) and there won't be enough tension on the latches when closed, too far forward (towards cab) and the rear hatch won't latch shut. Your gaps look the same as @ttn333

I believe the instruction is to set that outer lip so that it just clears the gate.

Anybody have issues with the window latches? Apparently it’s a common issue for the part that actually latches to keep the window closed, to break off. Both driver and passenger latches broke before install. AVO is supposed to be requesting new latches from Alu-Cab.

Not me personally but I just met a guy at Toyota show that had them break on his Taco. He got some replacements immediately.

What’s the order turnaround on getting one of these without the windows?

RSI just pushed back my delivery date for like the 5th time, so I think I’m done with dealing with that. 11 months wait just isn’t worth it anymore.

Can someone with a sting gray, with matching top, post a side shot? I am having my canopy camper removed and replaced with the contour and just want a better idea of what it will look like. There are some good side shot photos of white and green JTs here, but no sting gray (unless I just missed it). Thanks.​

Why are you removing the camper? are you selling it ?

We decided to remove it and buy a travel trailer instead. We have only had a few instances where our camp site would be inaccessible by a trailer, and not often enough to really worry about.

Yes, I will be selling it. I will post it in the next couple of days. PM me if you are interested. It will be taken off at AVO.
