Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

I recently got my contour canopy installed and I got the Alucab load bars as well. I have an OVS 270 awning I’m going to install with the OVS awning brackets. Anyone do the same? Looking for advice on how others have done it or any lessons learned.

That’s how I have mine on, I just wish I could tuck it up against the truck more. But the way there brackets are it inhibits you from getting it closer. I had to just buy new hardware as I believe the load bars fit m8 bolts? My iPad won’t let me attach pics for some reason, I’ll try with my phone in a bit.

I have the LT version and mount it to two load bars with the ovs brackets.

I have had ours now for a week, the fit and finish is excellent. CB Adventure Supply in Fort Worth, TX did an awesome job on the install. Front Runner Slim line II racks installed to mount my awning and shower cube go on next and cupboards are going to be ordered to start the interior build out.

Made some more progress this weekend, awning and shower cube are mounted. We are now waiting for the Aul-Cab cubbies to come in so we can start the interior bed build out.

Love the setup (canopy and tent). I do get a lot of dust from the canopy bed door. Any tricks to stop that? I also live on a gravel road so it’s a constant thing.

Can anyone confirm the roof weight rating on the canopy? The Alucab website has conflicting information. If it’s the 400kg then perfect. Consider it bought and sold. If it’s the 300kg then I’ve got issues.

Main thing now is our static rack capacity is 900lbs and not being small by any means 6’2 300+ I want to make sure I don’t come crashing through the roof one night.

You may want to try re-reading this. There is no conflicting information. The first section states the max load, and the second section explains what it means and provides examples of how much things may end up weighing.

Order is placed can’t wait. Does anyone have an ikamper mini or similar styled/size tent on theirs and wouldn’t mind posting a pic? Trying to decide if I want to sell my skycamp mini and move to a wedge. I love my mini but not sure how it’s going to look on there.

I assume dust is getting in from the corners of the bed tailgate and canopy rear door. You think dust comes in from the bottom? I never thought of that.

Here's my skycamp 2.0 mounted. I wanted to mount it as low profile as I could and mounted it directly to the alu-cab load bars with Wheel Every Weekend mounts and alu-cab low profile mounting feet. I ended up finding an additional 2 more load bars and used some trimmed down ikamper mounting brackets (version 1.0) for those. I'm satisfied with how it turned out and how it looks. Hope that helps.
