Not forever but for now. I love my jeep but realistically towing with it is fine but we need more room on the inside for everyone to ride comfortably, pets and people for when we pull the camper. I really just like to say I'm gonna miss the forum in general and I've made some friends local and on here, some that I've spoke to by private messages and phone that I'll cherish the bond forever. I'll be in either a JT or Wrangler again soon but for now I found a 2019 Ram Rebel that's just to good to pass up.

I got a knot in my gut just now and it really want set in until I ride by the dealership and see it sitting out on their lot but I got 92,500 miles on mine and if I don't do something now then I'll get even less when it hits 100,000 miles.

I know you guys hate these post but I feel like I don't want to just stop being on here. I appreciate all the advice I've gotten on here and hopefully I have been able to offer some advice and been a positive contributor on here as well. Thanks again guys!

Certainly know what you mean!!!!! I’ve got a TJ that I was gonna sell and put it up for sale and told everyone who looked at it that it needs a bunch of work! Every time someone came to look at it my gut started hurting and I discouraged anyone from buying it. So far so good but it’s only a matter of time before I take it down or sell it. 👎

Unless they changed the center console, the rebel only fits 5 anyway so you didn't gain much interior space for people? Sure there's more leg/ hip room but they are both only 5 seaters. I went from my 2017 rebel to the 2023 JT mojave and couldn't be happier. Miss the v8 power, both get crap mileage, but the JT is miles ahead off road. The mojave eats up whoops that I broke air ride sensors on at half the speed in the ram.

Just the more room and more comfortable ride on the trips that's what I'm looking for. I don't off road mine just basic fire roads and I haven't had the doors or top off in over a year. Loved my JT but the Rams more practical when towing a 6,000lb camper. I'll have another JT or Wrangler again in the future. This will be the first time in almost 20 years I haven't had a Jeep in the driveway

Shit happens, life makes demands of us that doesn't line up with how we envisioned things going previously. You adjust and move on. Make friends along the way where you can.

And for the record the farewell posts i hate, and the ones that generally provoke comments like "this isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departures", are the ones made by people with practically zero post history and the few posts that exist are nothing but complaints. People who've really contributed here deserve their chance to say goodbye.

Have fun in your RAM. If life takes another turn for you, you might be back here with 2 Stellantis trucks. One for the family and one just for you. But if not then happy trails to you all the same.

You will be missed.
You will be back into a Jeep in the future.
You made the smart choice pulling a 6K camper. Regardless of how many people on here do it, the JT is not a great tow vehicle for that weight.

We do a lot of towing with a heavier camper; therefore, the Ram 1500 was our number one choice many years ago. We now own a 2015 Ram EcoDiesel and a 2020 Ram EcoDiesel. Finally, just a three months ago, we were able to get a Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel. The Gladiator is awesome, but there's no way it could be our primary vehicle. Here are a few camping pictures with our Ram 1500.

Ain't no way dude. Go back to a 4th or 5th gen Ram, specifically the 5th gen. These things feel like you can set up an entire house in them now. I've sat in the back with two other grown men for 6+ hours before. Do that in a JT, I dare you.

There's way more room.... for 5. Still only room for 5. Most aren't camping with 5 full grown men but if that's your use you'd be way better off in a Ram for sure. We've done roadtrips with 3 6' plus people in the back seat of the gladiator. Not as comfortable as the ram but doable for sure and that's a once or twice a year scenario for us. Usually it's just the wife and the dogs.

That would be an ideal situation if I was just camping once or twice a year but we are planning weekend trips in the camper for the future as soon as we get it back from the warranty work they are doing on it. I could do it in the Jeep for sure but I'm to the point that comfort for the family is important to me. Got 2 grandkids and 4 dogs plus the wife and I, the Ram is just more ideal for our needs right now especially towing the 6,000lb camper. The jeep was more than capable to get it done but the Ram will do it better.
