I need to replace my antenna (got bent in the car wash). Stubby antennas ok? I only listen to satelite radio anyway but just in case it would still be good to get reception if needed. If ok which ones do you like? Thanks! ?

The reception of any stubby antenna will be nearly the same or a little worse reception than stock. In your case, not a big deal. I really think a lot of companies are sourcing from the same manufacturer, I've had AntennaX and Rugged Ridge and they are identical to a T. That said, they work great for what I need and if I ever have trouble finding a station in the mountains or out in nowhereville I just open Spotify. :like:

Got an AntennaX stubby from Amazon and it’s good enough. I listen to satellite or podcasts 99.9% if the time anyway.

I have the Rugged Ridge 6 inch and it works and performs the same as the original. Looks way better as well.

I would recommend the 9 inch one, the 6 is a little too short for my liking but it’s still better than the original.

I bought the Rugged Ridge Stubby Reflex 9” antenna after my stock antenna whipped around too much in the car wash, damaged my paint. The stubby is fine for normal use.

I noticed a huge reduction in AM reception and a noticeable reduction in FM reception going to a 13" loaded rubber antenna. If your travels don't go much out of the super strong reception distance of your local AM and FM stations you wont notice much if any difference with a 13" or even shorter antenna. If you listen to any fringe area stations they will probably go away.

This is the antenna I bought and it had good review and a good explanation of its design and innards, but alas, it takes a big hit in reception. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CZ5NC4M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That always gives me a good excuse to never wash my Jeep. I am too lazy to unscrew the antenna and too lazy to wash it myself!!!

OP - Why not just take yours off, hammer it back straight and save yourself a few bucks, plus better reception than any of the erectile-dysfunctional antennas?!

A stubby antenna was one of the first things I ordered. The reception is decent, but I only listen to the satellite radio so it doesn't really matter.
