Dang good kick in the ass for me this thread is. To get back at biking and maybe running too "body willing (??)". I got a new low end replacement bike last year to replace my old one then spent 4 plus months getting it useable. Then not get to ride it, slammed with overtime...

Yeah, I was back at it then had accident that cut off my big toe and then few years later crushed left ankle when a ladder I was on skidded, I landed on it my ankle was under it. Then got parked on a desk and then stupid amounts of over time mainly to pay taxes and medical bills. Sucks being single for taxes. I know others here know it too.

Well I'm taking it with me on short vacation.

Did 10 miles of running this morning. Racing July 4th. Had a real good run this morning. My last mile was awesome. My first run since 2018 that I was able to go over 7 miles without my IT band on.

I need to get miles in, either cycling or running, but it’s well over 100* every day here and the sun doesn’t go down until after 10PM! I think I’m going to have to dig the trainer out. I hate the trainer.

Ultra endurance gravel and MTB racer. I’m only doing one race this year (stage race: 45mi, 50mi, day off, 102mi), but it’s coming up in September and I’m not nearly in the shape I need to be.

Figured some type of endurance athlete. When I was training for Ironman Tris I'd say the same thing, "I need to get miles in." And I put lots of miles in training on the trainer because of the Florida heat, humidity, and summertime rain.

You can get there just got to put in the work. I'm planning 3 half's before I go after Boston in January in Charleston sc

Put in a brick workout today. It was about time to get into gear since my first adventure Tri of the year is 4 weeks out.

I started out as a mountain biker, then all of my riding buddies got married, bought houses and had kids. I was too much of an idiot on the bike to ride in the woods alone safely, and this was before all the FB riding goups. Then I became a roadie. Different times, different relationships and I gave up cycling because the woman I was dating couldn't understand why I wanted to go out on my bike for 3-4 hours alone a couple of times a week. That ended and I met a woman who skis, and started cycling. I know am back to MTB and roadie.

I do a lot of Enduro type riding here in CO. However, this summer I took my enduro bike on a "bikepacking-lite" Hut Trip from Durango --> Moab. 220mi, 20kft of gain over a week.
