Use an exhaust pipe cutter to make a clean square cut. If you ever want to put it back together, just buy a band type exhaust coupler clamp.Thanks everyone. I think the cut it in a wise place makes sense. Worst case scenario me (or an exhaust shop) puts basically a sleeve over it to mend the two pieces. I’ve got some room so will likely hang onto it for a bit.
