Was out and about today and a dude followed me for a few miles out of his way. I was stopping at a gas station and he jumped out of his car and wanted to "touch" it. I let him take a look around and answered his questions.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

Happens weekly! Been that way since I got it back in May....very surprised how many young men and older women are just as excited and ask about it...lots of picture taking as well...guy at car wash stood on a bucket to get his “ perfect” shot....crazy.

Going on six weeks now of ownership and it is starting to die down a bit but I probably went almost daily with 1-2 people giving me the thumps up on it or asking about it at gas stations or other places I have stopped. Have had two neighbors pull in my driveway while have been outside jumping out and asking about it.

In 35+ years of driving, I have owned just about every make and model of each brand and new generation of trucks from both the domestic and import brands. I have gotten more attention on this Gladiator than anything else I have owned combined.

Has happened to me several times. Even had a cop follow me for a few minutes and into a movie theater parking lot so he could check it out. He said afterwards he was going to go look a a Sport nearby and take it for a test drive!

In no way am I attempting to 'one up' anyone on this thread; I've had my Gladiator exactly two weeks today and this has happened anywhere from 3-5 times per day. Gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, vet clinic, home improvement store and a local park to name a few. I can't say that any of them followed me for a great distance, but rather saw me pulling into the aforementioned and decided to follow me to ask a few questions. I did have an officer follow me for a couple miles into the hardware store parking lot to chat also, which was a little unnerving as I was expecting some sort of citation! I attribute it to my vehicle being de-badged and, also, even though we live in a metro area, I've only seen one other on the road in the Raleigh area. The one thing that they all mention is that they had no idea Jeep was making a truck. It seems odd to me but I am also Jeep obsessed like most of you; once marketing and advertising kicks in, I bet it dies down a bit.....

I had a guy come into Walmart at 6:30 a.m. looking for me because he saw me get out of it across the parking lot.

Had young ladies taking selfies with it downtown once.

And there's no telling how many videos my truck is in on social media from drive-ups on the highway and what not.

Yep, it's been a super popular truck. But I have to remind myself, all these people getting excited about it are too young to remember that Jeep made trucks from the beginning of time until 1992. So for them, it probably really IS something special.

I had three people stop and look at it over the weekend. All of them while parked in front of different Burger King locations.

Job.... always got a job...
Started first day I had it. Drove home and picked up my wife and went back to the local Sonic to grab a dog and chili cheese tots. Young guy pulls up next to me in a jku and immediately got out and come over. Thought he was going to have a panic attack from the excitement. No dramatic scenes like that afterwards but many still interested.

Not followed, but we were heading out to a concert and we park along the rail line to the venue. A guy waiting on the train spotted the Gladiator and walked across the street to the parking lot to ask what the heck it was (he owned a Wrangler).

I have only seen one other one in Raleigh as well. I doubt you have seen mine yet. I started working 17 hour days about a month ago so I barely get to leave my house now. Ugh. If you want some real attention go to Wake Forest. I walked out of the grocery store there to about 6 people standing around mine. And I had to have about a 15 minute Q & A with my audience.

LOL Yeah, happens a lot. I drove from MD to OH and along the mountains and everywhere else, people even non Jeepers would wave and give a thumbs up while driving... At a gas station, one guy came up and asked if he could look around and was regretting buying his taco :CWL:

Had a guy on the highway pull up on a crotch rocket, pull his camera out of his jacket and take some photos. We were going 60 mph, glad he didn’t wipe out!
