I've owned my share of mid size trucks over the years...2nd gen Tacoma, 3rd gen gmc canyon full of tranny issues, Ford Ranger (rock solid with the 4 banger turbo) and now my oil burner.

I do love my diesel Glady but the ride is kinda harsh but that's expected off a real 4x4 truck with a solid axle. And road noise is eh....especially at higher speeds. But other than these caveats (which I already knew before), I love mine...I chose this over new gen Tacoma and Ranger and no regrets. It's also my 2nd diesel so planning to keep this around at least till 100k. Diesel milege is of course quite welcome since gas prices are back to almost $5.80/g here in California.

Anyone else freaking love their truck? I’ve had my JTR Manual for a year and a half now and couldn’t be happier. It’s the best. That’s all.
Dude, She's the bomb. I always catch myself smiling like an idiot and walking into things when i park her and walk away. I don't know how anyone gets buyers remorse with these. My favorite is when people talk shit about it, and a offer the keys and say lets hit something real quick. Put your money where your mouth is, drive it and tell me its sucks. Let a dude with a C8 vette drive it. Told him don't lift when we come up on back to back 10 mph speed bumps. The look on his face, when he realized it pretty goes wherever you point it and does it like a cloud. Hell one of my buddy's Gfs said she hated Jeeps and her Mom said they all suck. You wanna drive it? IT was like i let a 2 year old loose in a candy shop with no budget. My buddy was scared to death in back seat, barring she didn't hit someone else or tree, i didn't care. She had an absolute blast just driving down the parkway with the top down. Not to mention all the little kids practically foaming at the mouth and trying to rip their parents arm off at that "big blue cool Jeep".

If you like trucks and Jeeps then you have to get a JT. This is my favorite Jeep and we take it to the rocks every week. Bonus is not having a cab full of the junk you can throw in the bed bikes, tools, paddle boards etc.

I was just looking for a new small truck and didn’t want a turbo four banger that most of the 2024’s all seem to have.

Ended up in a new JT and have been a lot happier than I even imagined I would be, coming out of an F150 5.0 Super Crew FX4.

Still happy! I traded the 2019 on the left for the 2024 on the right, and have been having fun ever since! Best trade ever. Already have more miles on it. A blast to drive, and don't need to worry about every bump, pothole or curb. Woolwaxed and driving in the MN salt too. Still surprised how well my JT corners, and love the suspension. Added a Sunrider top to get a little of the convertible feel too.
