If you want to risk your transmission for a $248.48, go ahead. Along with a requirement to drop your pan three times, putting more wear on the gasket, and still having mixed fluids with unknown chemistry compatibility. Makes zero sense. Your vehicle, so what you want, but don’t recommend this stuff to others that might take your advice by mistake.
See my post seconds after yours............ I don't worry about 3 changes. I'd only do that if changing to a very different fluid, and I just can't see doing that. You pay more in the end by the time you flush things out to avoid the mixing.

I will never understand it.
Pay $100, get 7 quarts, do a fluid change and be done with it. People bitch about the cost of the Jeep, pay 20 freaking grand or more for mods to make it cool - but balk about the transmission fluid.

It’s bonkers logic.

Not that big of a deal to do multiple refills if you have a fluid extraction device.
But a pan with a drain would make it easier yet.

I seem to recognize some of the "number of changes to get to xx%" from a blog run by another guy. He explains it all in detail, based on the capacity, amount of fluid changed, the numbers of changes to get there and so on.
Yeah, those calcs needed some help. The expression has 15 characters: 1-(1-6.5/9.5)^3 Change the exponent (3, for three pan drops) to match the number of pan drops.

I added a disclaimer to my original reply for those of us with less experience.

True, but the needle has not moved for me to get one. I seen the one @WILDHOBO installed and it is a decent bit of kit. I have done two factory pan drops in the past and that really does not bother me as I extracted most of the remaining fluid from the fill hole before removing.

My current plans is to do a pan drop and fluid/filter change at 30K miles and fluid change/extraction every 30K with a new filter every 60K. Of course I have a bad track record of trading off again before such things but that is the plan regardless.

You'll have 2 done before I do my first.

For regular customers, I almost always knocked a hole in the pan and installed a drain, making it a lot easier to do future services for them. I knew where to put the hole, let it drain, then after the pan was all cleaned up, enlarged the hole and made a drain plug for it. Saved a lot of mess. Took only minutes.

Now could this change if the Saturn's moon are aligned with Uranus 😂😂😂 and Mars is in its northern spring half way through its 194 sols. Then the fluid may have to be changed every 30.00001245 miles.

So much fretting about the transmission. Just drive it and follow the normal recommendations and all will be fine. Are all owners of other makes this afraid of their vehicles, always on edge about not doing frequent enough changes? I've never seen such fretting over using the charts, and how it's almost a right of passage to cut the times in half.
