Has anyone hacked off the 2 mufflers under your Gladiator yet? Thinking of deleting the two mufflers and don’t want to possibly trigger an engine light doing it.

I'd say take them off one at a time, start with the big suitcase muffler. You can always take more off if it's not loud enough.

I tried multiple configurations…

Just the rear off-almost no change in sound

All three taken off - sounds epic but waaaay too loud and it drones.

Replaced the first muffler in the front with the little one in the rear. Still too loud, drones.

Placed the middle one in place of the first one - pretty quiet.

Removed both middle and rear and added a pipe leading to the rear - sounds great no drone

I tried the Gibson dual exhaust(sounds stock), the Flowmaster American Thunder cat back(sounds ok but drones) and the AWE exhaust(sounds great but still too loud for me. Seems loud at all RPMs)
Cutting the two rear mufflers and welding a pipe leading to the rear was perfect for me. Nice and mellow during normal driving but once you gun it, it is really aggressive it even pops between shifts at high rpm. Best part was that it cost me less than $100.00

Good to know. I've heard some say that with the suitcase gone, it's almost the same at idle, but louder under load/revs. Have you noticed that, or similar even under load?

No suitcase but rear muffler in its place sounds stock until you punch it, not super aggressive but nice throaty sound. I found it did drone a little on the freeway BUT that was before I got regeared…I was never able to get to 8th on the freeway.

I had the rear most muffler cut out and a piece of pipe put it in it's place. It tucks up nice and neat under the rear fender and has a nice little sound during startup. During acceleration, I can't hear it over my S&B intake. The main issue is that sitting at idle, it idles rough now. It's as is that muffler was keeping a certain backpressure on the system and since it's gone, it feels rough for a bit, then comes back up, feels rough, comes back up, rinse and repeat.
