Took off both resonators and left the bigger muffler, small but noticeable increase in sounds, no difference on the interstate.

Also to chime in on the rough idle sound. Mine did that as well my first setup was a Magnaflow straight through system with a muffler and one of their race resonators, sounded the best by far but at 68-75 mph in 8th I was going insane from the drone.

Cold start sounded mean and it would idle perfect but the exhaust would bubble and hesitate making me think it was idling bad too, but when you watch RPM's it was rock steady. And after warming up it just purred.
I’m having the same issue with the Magnaflow Rock Krawler. The drone at 70 miles an hour is very annoying. I am looking for a fix. Wish I would’ve read this thread sooner.

I tried it, louder ≠ better. Ended up just taking off the smaller, rounder resonator that lies before it. Sounds good but im going to switch to an aftermarket exhaust in the near future.

I cannot recommend the Dynomax Quiet Crawler more. It has no more drone then the OEM, it consists of SS resonator and turbo muffler and the hangers keep it all between the frame rails.

The biggest deal though was no more drone.

My choice if they were both available would be a gladiator take-off and go back to stock, but cut that last resonator off and tip down right above the axle.

I like how this one was done with cutting out much of the tailpipe.

Has anyone hacked off the 2 mufflers under your Gladiator yet? Thinking of deleting the two mufflers and don’t want to possibly trigger an engine light doing it.
I cut all out at the y. Put dueles into a mixer muffler 2 in 2 out under back seat then dueles out the back one each side. It was 385.00$ at local muffler shop all welded and hangers love it.

first highway trip I did after cutting things out drone was physically painful in your ears, unbearable, 2000-2400 rpm, ordered magna flow street series side exit, happy every since, drone will creep in moderately around 2000 and let you know when to shift but it's just a hum now, not actually physically painful

I bolted on an exhaust cut out between the first resonator and the suit case muffler. It basically deletes everything from the rear axle to the tail pipe but can be reverse by simple bolting on the original section of pipe.

This Cut Out and a silicone plug basically deletes the suitcase muffler and rear resonator. AND if I need to revert to stock configuration I simple remove the two pipe clamps and replace the cut out with the original section of pipe.

Nice, thank you for taking the time to do that. I have one of the 12v powered exhaust cutouts with a remote from Summit Racing that has been sitting in the garage for 6 months while I deal with other projects and stuff thats higher on the list of priorities... this is pretty much exactly where I am hoping to install mine and the image really helps me visualize what Ill be dealing with.

I ran it with the bypass valve for maybe 2 weeks. I realized that I pretty much left it open all the time so I just ditched it and got a turn down tip.

This is what I did on my 22’ Mojave today. Ordered the AFE rock basher 3” I just chopped mine for poops n giggles. Turned pretty awesome! I really like it. The OEM resonator does an excellent job of killing drone. As you can see the 22’ 3.6 gets a smaller rearward resonator tailpipe now.
