Thanks, I leave mine off allmost all summer.. but cold here in RI.

Do you just push them into the doors? I think i will remove one rear so the dog stairs fit in there better....

That's exactly what I did, and it worked great. HOWEVER, they are super difficult to pull back out. Easy to get to, but just no good leverage. Which is why they stayed pushed in, lol.

I pooped mine in but the web straps still hold the door back.

did you unhook yours where it attaches?

Thanks, Peter

Yeah, I just unhook it when I use that. It’s easy enough

We also use the fold out stairs for our 100lb dog. They work great for her and she goes in the bed, with a topper of course. She they’d handle much more weight than her easily.

I'm not sure it would be better to have an unbelted dog flying around your vehicle or through the windshield during an accident then flying out of the bed. Both are bad, but I wouldn't say riding in the bed is exponentially more dangerous

You will do what you want, but highly reccomend against a dog in the bed. Wife is a vet tech and weekly sees dogs choked from short leashes "preventing them from jumping out" then dangling off the bed, road rash and broken bones from getting thrown from the truck, loads of heat exhaustion without the owners knowing till its too late. Love your pup like your people family, toss them in the cab and have it ready for them in there.

This has always worked well, don't even need batteries anymore, one sight of this and she knows to quit screwing around and load up.
The wife or the dog? I can’t hardly encourage my wife to get in a Jeep. Maybe this would help.😂
