That sucks that something like that can cause all those electrical issues. I have an Overland, so dont have to worry about that.

Is there anyway to check it? I have an appt Wednesday hopefully dodge can fix it. It’s weird after I reset codes it works fine for awhile
Disconnect the negative ESS from the main negative block, sit for several minutes... the longer the better, reconnect. See if it cleared it up.

I am about to bypass the AUX battery but keep it on board for emergency self jump starts. Charge it every month or so.

Hopefully I fixed it. I took negative cable off for awhile and then put it back on nice and tight, it was a little loose. I pushed all the fuses in and I haven’t had any issues in 24 hours. I’m still going to take it in today and see if they can look it over. I still can’t get my electric sway bar disconnect to work. Wont disconnect

Wish mine was that easy. I had not driven for 5 weeks due to shoulder surgery. Expected drain, not DOA. Went to get in to start it up but even the proximity locks did not unlock when I grabbed the door handle, nor did clicking the unlock button. Got out the charger/jump-starter and hooked it up. All ever got was 'click' and gauges gone wild. Even the wiper blade moving even though the wiper was turned off. Tried all sorts of means of getting things charged up - even sat with a trickle charger for 40 hours (charger blinked whole time, no errors). Even the tow company could not get it jumped. It has been sitting at the dealer since last Wednesday night (2/24).

Well that didn’t last long . Issue came back today after waiting in line at Chick-fil-A. Pull out on highway and everything starts flashing and truck won’t turn off. Go to put scanner on truck and it finally turns off, I reset all codes and make it back home. It’s crazy how everything goes nuts. Wipers running with them turned off, fans under hood full blast. I have no idea what’s going on with this thing

Per the dealer, and after watching a Genesis Dual Batter install I can understand how, water had pooled around my aux/ess battery and had drained it. Apparenly some debris from trees had collected at the bottom of the battery tray and had clogged the drain hole - the debris apparently gets there via the drain in the cowling below the wipers. And water can apparently flow from that drain over to the battery compartment and collect in there. This was just after a 6 inch snowfall in our area so I suspect a plug froze in the tray with debris and more debris collected as the snow melted.

Since you are East Coast and probably had some good snowfall recently, I would suspect you may have water pooled around your aux battery or maybe some water got into the connectors under the fuse tray and possibly shorting out some connections.

So you had issues with your ess battery?

I had similar issues with a 2018 Grand Cherokee. After 3-4 trips to the dealer they could never find anything wrong. I would lose everything, speedometer, lights, power steering, pretty scary when driving down the road. Luckily things would sort themselves out after shutting everything off.

One of the biggest reasons I upgraded to the gladiator.

So you had issues with your ess battery?
Correct. The dealer replaced it. The battery would not charge up and it is needed to control the electronics while you start the vehicle - would not start at all, not even a jump start. And after doing a jump-start attempt, the dash went wild and the wiper blades slowly moved back and forth - even though it was turned off. So I bet you have water around your ess battery. If you watch the Genesis Dual Battery install video it actually shows you how to get to the ESS battery - you take it out when you do the dual battery install. After watching this video I can see how water can get in there. Bad design - engineers should be flogged for this, allowing water to get in there in the first place.

I think I will be doing the dual battery install in the near future - this is one good reason for it, plus others.

Hopefully you don’t start having issues within your gladiator

I’m starting to think your right. No that I think about it I did go through the touch free car wash yesterday. Water could have definitely gotten in. And I could have a clog no allowing the water to escape

I had a similar issue. It turned out that there was a wiring harness behind the dash that was pinched during assembly that caused the data buss to short out. I had to have mine towed to the dealer where they pulled hair out of their heads trying to figure it out. Once they nailed it down they had to rip the entire dash apart to replace the harness. All is good now. I imagine that it's possible that a bunch of them may have gotten installed incorrectly and that may be what you are experiencing. Took two weeks to get the harness because it's not your typical replacement part.

I’m hoping it’s just my ess battery. I’ve been researching and watching a lot of videos and it could be the ess battery . How many mile did you have on yours before it started messing up?

I was hoping it was just from all the rain we have gotten and maybe it was having a hiccup. Today after driving an hour to work and coming out to go to my next stop I go to start my Jeep and the heat goes full blast, radio goes full loud. Radiator fans are blasting and the dash is lighting up like crazy. I turn it off and start it back up check engine light on. I scan it and there’s probably a code for everything on . Reset system runs fine for 5 hours. On my way home I stop at the gas satation come out get back in and a mile down road lights flashing and everything goes out. Power steering, transmission. Pull over and same thing codes for everything on. Here are a few screen shots. Does anyone know what’s going on? I’m almost afraid to drive now

Your Jeep is in dire need of an exorcism.

Lol that was only half. There were more codes. It might be in dire need of being traded in. I’m hoping it’s the ess battery. I noticed it happens only when it rains or if I go through car wash. I’m thinking my ess battery is full of water.
