Anyone Running Eibach Shocks or Springs?

Running Rusty’s 2” lift on my Rubi with Fox Rubi shocks. Rusty’s uses Eibach springs - fast forward to 1:15 in the YT video below. The springs seem very nice and high quality. I’m running pretty heavy just about 6,000lbs according to the landfill exit scale with steel bumpers, Ace rock rails, warn Zeon winch, DIY bed slide, Micky Thompson 37” D rated tires, etc. and the springs seem up to the challenge. The factory Fox shocks as noted by many are under damped. I did a 5,600 mile trip from PA to Yellowstone and back and found it ok when I hit the right sweat spot for tire psi and I was carrying another 600 lbs of stuff.
I am using Rusty’s shock relocation brackets. I just can’t bring myself to replace perfectly good shocks.

The shocks arrived today via UPS and I promptly installed them. My first impressions is they are really close to the ride I had before on the Overland stock shocks before I switched over to the Rubi takeoffs. The ride is firm and controlled again and honestly feels like the truck is heavier is the best way to describe it. The body roll around corners is mostly gone as well as the boat floating feeling.

These are really what I was hoping they would be. I took a trip down some pretty bad roads around our area and they performed well. On uneven or patched up roads you feel the bumps, but they are not harsh and the bump is dampened immediately. The rail road tracks are a little more noticeable than with the Rubi Fox shocks as are bumps at slower speeds. This is honestly just a little more noticeable and not at all pronounced enough to where someone would tell as a passenger though I think. I'll have to take my wife out and see if she can tell. At higher speeds these really shine and I felt almost none of the bumps and the floating feeling is completely gone and some of the sway is better too. Overall it feels much more planted going down the highway at speed. The biggest difference of all though is going across the swales on a section of road where the road is sinking in various spots. Before with the Rubi Fox shocks I would hit these and sometimes hit the bump stops at 45mph followed by a nice up and down cycle. Now I just follow the contours of the swale and their is no shock cycling at all. I'm extremely happy and they look great too!

Just replaced my 1.5" TF spacer with the Eibach lift, coils & shocks 2" in the front and 1" in the rear. I agree with steveorama, the ride definitely seems so much more planted, especially at higher speeds. All in all, I'm very happy with the change.

Awesome to hear you also had good results. How much lift did the springs actually provide? The stated 2" front and 1" rear?

I'm very happy with the shocks and I'm still debating on the springs for the future. The ride is a lot better now especially after I added the Mopar 2" lift LCAs that I didn't know that I needed. Between the shocks and the longer LCAs the ride is exactly what I wanted and hoped for. I'm happy at the moment, but wouldn't mind a little more height in the front. The Rubi springs only gained about 3/4" in the front IIRC and the lower Overland flares doesn't give a lot of clearance between the tires and the front fenders.

My only experience with Eibach was on my lowered Dodge Charger. Their springs and shocks were AMAZING in that application. It transformed the vehicle. So not a Jeep application obviously, but I can attest to their quality of product.

Same with Porsche 993, extremely firm track ride. Surprised they are being used in these trucks.

My lift situation is a bit frankenlift to be honest. Right now I have the Eibach coils & shocks front and rear but then added a SteerSmarts Sector Shaft Brace & Yeti front track bar, Clayton rear track bar, Clayton sway bar links with the MetalCloak tie rod & drag link. Right now I finally feel like I have my steering, smoothness of ride, and stance exactly where I want it. And honestly, the Eibach shocks and springs have been the biggest positive surprise of any of those.

Obviously not, but the company seems to be more focused on racing and sports. So good for them to get into the trucks with a solid product as well.

Lamborghini started out making tractors and still do, but they pivoted into a different market which now they are arguably best known for. I imagine a lot of people are unaware of the connection today though. Similarly, Eibach started out just making basic springs and then gained their following decades ago with their racing springs (F1). So yes that is their foundation and largest market still and what they are best known for.

I agree though that it's good they are moving into the truck and offroad market. They have been very well received so far in the Toyota crowd. I think their biggest obstacle with the overall truck and Jeep market is their shocks are very comparable to the Bilstein 5100s which has a long history and product recognition in that market. I know I simply couldn't find much out there in regards to Jeeps other than some folks running their springs only. Their history made me comfortable though they made a quality product, but was unsure what to expect as far as the ride. I'm very happy I took the chance though as they're exactly what I hoped it would be. Some more word of mouth or advertising and I wouldn't be surprised to see them become much more commonplace in our community.

Watched that Lambo movie recently and saw the tractor thing as well as several other factors about the company. Great movie.

I liked Eibach springs so much on sports cars I would likely give them a shot should I change from a leveling kit to actual springs.

I bought my shocks and springs from extreme terrain and received them in about 2 days.

You can either order them directly from Eibach for $129 each or there are several other vendors that sell Eibach products. Just search those model numbers and you will find other vendors. I ended up searching for the best price and found that buybrakes.com had the best price on them along with a coupon and they just had them drop shipped from Eibach.

Eibach lists their lift and dimension specs based on the Rubicon but their products will fit the other models fine but expect a bit more lift on those models. Exception would be the Mojave.
