Arcus bumper install

So, I received my Arcus today and got into the install. I noticed in other installs, and the way RR shows the tow hooks installed, that I wasn't too sure if I was going to like the RR hooks. So when I started looking at it, I realized that the hooks could be installed with the hook pointing down. So here's a couple pics to show the install. They don't seem to hang down too far. The Mojave is otherwise stock (so far).

I think Rugged Ridge also makes alternative shackle mounts that don't have the hook.

Yeah, I saw those. I figure if I didn't like these I could always cut off the hook part, grind it smooth, repaint.

Agree. Either the skid plate or the hooks. Something is getting knocked around. However, I am thinking the hooks will take more hits than the skid.

I went the JL “hoops” on the front. Stole the idea from another guy in here lol. A lot lighter and less… hooky?

I would imagine that it will be pretty hard to keep a strap on the hook like that.

If you decide to get a different shackle mount, these are Teraflex.

The Rugged Ridge mounts don't project out far enough to clear the bumper shell when using a regular steel shackle.

Absolutely love my Arcus.. it’s tough looking and lots of people comment it’s close to factory looking - like it belongs. I also added the hoop, just wish it had light tabs.

These are what I bought. @‘22JTRD gave me great help with them. There’s a little nub on the back that’s easy to cut off, you do have to cut the opening of the bumper shell slightly too.
Im not handy at all and I managed it haha
