Keep an eye out for rust on those washers. Mine rusted pretty bad after less than a month. Swapped them out for some yellow zinc washers.

I think the Arcus was designed to accept a hi-lift jack under the hooks if they are mounted facing up. I replaced the grade 8.8 torx head bumper mounting bolts with grade 12.9 allens, 60 mm long so I could add grade 12.9 nuts on the inside.

Yeah. Mine was missing some paint on one hook and the torx head bolts have less than ideal plating on them (looks more like a lacquer finish).

I have had my Arcus for almost 2 years. I had an LOD on the prevsious Jeep and was tempted to get another signature mid but I also liked the Mopar options but when I found a new Arcus on eBay for $134.50 + Shipping for $136.36, I took the gamble on the Arcus. After installing it, I found other things I preferred. I like the fit of the Arcus better because there isn't as large of a gap between the grill and bumper. I never planned to install a winch, so I never grew fond of the big gaping hole.

I finally got bored enough to pull off the bumper and make a template and started cutting sheet metal. I also decided to shed 23.57lbs and removed the winch plate. I tried the RR XHD Bumper D-Ring Shackle Brackets but as others reported they were too small. The XHD bumper D-Ring brackets weigh 4.56lbs each compared to the Arcus hooks 10.47lbs. The Arcus shell weighs 15.77lbs.

I REALLY like those clamps to hold lights on the hoop... who makes those? My only disappointment in the Arcus hoop was no light tabs, those clamps would solve my dilemma.

They are made by Rugged Ridge. BLACK X-CLAMP Light mount. I ordered them on Amazon.

I’d totally be your first buyer if you sell those Arcus close-out panels…..

I would imagine that it will be pretty hard to keep a strap on the hook like that.

If you decide to get a different shackle mount, these are Teraflex.

The Rugged Ridge mounts don't project out far enough to clear the bumper shell when using a regular steel shackle.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I dont want to do the RR tusks and wanted to go the shackle mounts but had heard the RR version didnt let you connect the shackle.

Any chance you could tell me how far out from the grill this setup sticks out? Trying to minimize the depth due to parking restrictions. I think the RR ARcus with the tusks is just about 12" I would think this setup would be less? Thx!

The holes in the XHD brackets are 1" diameter. 3/4" shackles with 7/8" diameter pins are generally used with them.

I did cut off the "bulges" at the chackle mounts on my Arcus shell to facilitate using the 3/4" shackles.

Absolutely love my Arcus.. it’s tough looking and lots of people comment it’s close to factory looking - like it belongs. I also added the hoop, just wish it had light tabs.

Mine were coated...I can't tell if those were, or not. What size are they, btw? I have to get a few to stack to adjust the beam of the fog lights downward.

Thanks!
