Yeah, so they were definitely quoting the CX HD roof capacity then. 500 pounds would be about right, considering most (non-reinforced) fiberglass shells can support around 150 pounds or so. At the claimed triple weight capacity when going from Classic-HD, according to the link you posted, if the CX Classic really did support 500 pounds, that means they'd expect the CX HD to support 1,500 pounds, which is clearly not going to happen.Well... look here, this should answer it!

With that being said, the CX HD is at the top of my list as far as camper solutions so far. A.R.E. makes great stuff. Hopefully the Classic is received well and they can expedite the R&D for the HD.
