Cloth and Cold Weather is not an issueThe website doesn’t show a conflict. Are you able to have heated seats with cloth?
any thoughts on the mopar handles? Good buy with a build?
I’ved lived in Texas for 61 years. Vinyl seats are a no. Cloth seats are fine. I still prefer leather. They are fine in the heat.I have the cold weather package with cloth seats and I love it (nothing against leather, but I live in Texas and that leather gets hot).
I got the Mopar grab handles 8 months ago as a gift … lots of aftermarket options, but I like that they firmly attach with existing screws and have a little Jeep grille symbol on them. I can’t speak for the rear, but the front set work with the soft top and I don’t see why the rear would be an issue. As far as value… they are a little cheaper in the build configure tool than buying aftermarket (when you add in shipping) so they are worth the add if you want front and rear. I don’t think the rear ones hurt anything, but the pillar grab handles in the rear are not as long a reach as the front, so the front add more value for around $half the price. If you decide not to get them now, they are super easy to add later on.![]()

I just went out and checked… Toro34 is right about the rear grab handles, it looks like the soft top rail would block the mounting point.Cloth and Cold Weather is not an issue
The Mopar Handles will NOT work with a soft top. I believe they use the same attachment points as the soft top hardware.
You are right about that vinyl Tom C! I will never forget how hot the red vinyl in my dad’s old station wagon was (especially with no A/C). I also agree that leather isn’t that bad once you get going.I’ved lived in Texas for 61 years. Vinyl seats are a no. Cloth seats are fine. I still prefer leather. They are fine in the heat.
