I’m not in a rush, and keeping my only debts as the vehicle financing, and mortgage, so taking time on the build. All I’ve done thus far is:
1. Added Overland decals to hood.
2. Added hood lights
3. Installed above door handles
4. Swapped running boards for Rubicon sliders

more to come...

Doors off is still the most I've modified as of yet. Wife and I talked about the mods, they will really start with the big stuff in a few months.

Installed JK Hardrock bumper. Deleted the crush cans and can covers. Replaced the covers with d-ring plate mounts. Better pics in morning.

I don't suppose I could trouble you for a closeup of how you attached the eye-bolts? I really like this idea and may steal it.

I just used eyes that screw into wood, pre-drilled holes, and screwed the eyes in. They have 1 1/2 long threaded section, I don’t remember the diameter, but took a door hinge bolt in to make sure it went through the eye. I suppose if more peace of mind is wanted, you could use some eyes that bolt in with some body washers to prevent pull through.

Thanks! How has it held up? What was the longest time the doors were hung on your cart? Am I right that the uprights are 3/8 plywood?

I’ve had them on the cart for about a week at a time, and it has held up great! The plywood is all 1/2 inch, and 2x6 for the lumber. All glued and screwed together.

The freedom panels fit nicely in between the uprights, and cart ti very stable loaded up. The only thing different I’d do, (other than lowering the higher eyes) is to figure out a holder for the rear top as well.

Looks good! I like your pace with build. It is easy to get caught up in your Jeep build and spend another 30 percent of original Jeep cost on mods.

Exactly… I figured on this Jeep I’ll build it as it is needed, meaning I take it out, find what needs improvement, and fix it.

I've driven a lot since I pulled the trigger on mine but only one real trail. :(
