2022 Mojave, Gas, for several months now been showing 'auto stop/start not available' and a few weeks ago started to occasionally get the 'aux switches not available' for a minute or so after starting.
I decided to go ahead and do the aux delete knowing I'd probably need to go ahead and replace my main battery.
I first removed the wrong cable, no power. Put it back on and unhooked the other negative cable and removed fuse 42. I did not remove the IBS unit, I simply put the neg cable on top of it and tightened the nut.
Whole process took less than 5 minutes. Everything turns on, seems different somehow but it's all on, but only a soft click when trying to start. Hooked it all back up again and everything is like normal and starts fine.
Questions are; should I have removed the IBS and let it set for a while before continuing with the delete?
Am I getting a good enough connection on the negative side; the ground connector is a bigger hole than the post on top of the IBS and I know, at least on tractors and mowers, that sometimes even a slightly bad connection can keep you from starting even though you have power.
I haven't replaced the main battery yet, could it be so bad that it keeps it from starting? While driving it generally reads 14.2-14.4 volts.
What could I have missed or is happening to prevent it from starting.
Thanks!
