Tried to wire up Rigid backup lights for my Artec industries JT Bumper but I cannot get the backup lights to come on at all. Even on the OEM lights. Left it idle with E-Brake on and door open in reverse but no lights. Disconnected all wiring and reattached the lights, nothing still.
Closed the Garage door and they came on. Are these set not to come on in daylight?
what am I missing here?

Engine running, gear in reverse, door closed, emerg brake off, seat belt connected, then set your phone camera on video to confirm.

Mine seem to only light up in a dark garage. Any suggestion?
Are yours LED (not sure if the non-LED package includes incandescent reverse bulbs)? I mean no offense, but wondering if they simply weren't bright enough against the sun.

Buckle the seat belt.
Engage the emergency brake.
Use something to hold down the brake pedal.
Put it in reverse.
Lights should come on.

I use two Harbor Freight plastic ammo boxes. They are just the right size to wedge in and hold down the brake pedal. A set of wheel chocks would also be a good thing to have.

OK, To double check what are the wires to tap into on the backup harness?
I know what Oracle says but want to see what experience say

I used a Curt 56584 harness to tap into the reverse line for my KC backup lights. I didn't want to do any damage to the factory wiring. Other options are the Oracle harness that plugs in to the taillight connector, or wiring to a switch for manual control.

OK, One more question. Everything works great except for the sensors. Once unplugged, and reinstalled, do I need to reset something?

Did you have the sensors working on this bumper previously, or was it all part of the larger install?
