I just installed the same cover last Thursday. So far I like it. The wrench kit supplied by Jeep for hard top / door bolts also fits a few of the Tory bolts supplied with this cover. It definitely helps to have some your own set of torx bits, though, with some kind of ratchet driver.

I need to figure out a ski / snowboard rack setup to go with it before winter. The built In rail slots were the main reason I chose this cover. I also thought hard about a diamondback, but there are too many times I would need to remove the cover to fit something large in the back.

Can we get some pictures of the final install rolled and unrolled? If my Jeep ever gets built, I’m thinking about going with either the revolver or fiber max. But I’ve never seen a revolver installed.

Does it come with those rails? I’m not getting the bed rails factory installed. Will I need to purchase aftermarket?

When you say “ those rails” are you referring to the T-slots in the Bak Revolver rails?
The rails you see with the T-slots are what come with the Revolver.
If you do not have the “Trail rail system” which I do not, the Revolver bolts in with 3 bolts. One large Torex I think a 50 or 60 at the front of the truck bed, then two small bolts on the sides next to the Bed lights.

good idea about the Jeep wrench, didn’t think to try that.
exactly my thoughts too on ski racks, etc.

Pictures of side rails. etrailer.com shows some Truck Hero and Thule TracRac that are expensive/ugly.

upon further research (and head start from @clweed) I was looking at t-slot and Yakima racks.

the Yakima skyline mount and Landing Pad #1 fits per his pictures..
Sounds like by measurements landing pad #4 fit. (T-slot nuts for #1 are 7/8 x 11/16”; #4 is 1-1/2 x 13/16”). I haven’t measured the rail with calipers but my rough pictures look like #4 would fit; may be too tight.

the adjustable Yakima Overhaul HD doesn’t fit the rail because of the lips underneath; however, they sell rubber base pads as Tonneau Kit 1 that look like they would work.

I thought the rails would make it pretty easy to add accessory rack but these options are pretty expensive!
I’m not convinced I need a rack this bad but it’s nice to have the option to add one.
I might just use the lower Skyline mounts to save a few bucks..

I got it to work for me.

Bak Revolver X4 with Yakima Overhaul HD with added tonneau kit.
Slides into T-slot channel.
Couple of issues you will have is rolling the cover up to the front of the cab you have to force it past the tower at the cab. (It will go past just not smoothly)
Second issue is the rubber seal on the Bak Revolver will be slightly raised resting on the towers. Nothing I was concerned about and used the system for about 3 weeks when I decided to change to a Overland build.

NOICE!!!
I think you just convinced me to go for it.
With the tonneau pads (tonneau kit 1) the T-bolts are the only thing that goes in the rail?
since the lips on the bottom of the Overhaul don't fit over the BAK rail, and you have to use the pad under it, that means the Overhaul is just sitting on top of the rubber pad, not in the channel as it should be on other trucks, and the only thing holding it all down to the are those couple bolts?

Am I making sense?
Just wondering if it seems sturdy...

Yes the T-bolts are the only thing that goes into the Bak rails. The legs go onto the tonneau rubber pads and the extra rubber/plastic hanging over (to me) give it a little more stability. The system is made strong when bolted together with the cross bars.
The only reason I decided to switch set ups is because when using the tonneau kit you drop down from 500lbs on road rated to 300lbs on road. And I decided I wanted to install a 3 person rack top tent.

The nice thing about the Yakima setup is it takes 5 mins to take both towers out and your back to your full bed. (Once set up of course)

How much to add those thule rack bars? And can the cross bars be exchanged? Also how far back toward the tailgate can they go?

Thanks

Do both the BAK Revolver cover and the Yakima Overhaul HD still allow use of the factory trail rail inside the bed?

The Bak revolver install above the rails so full use of the bed rails.
The Yakima racks mount in the t-slot channel on top of the bed cover so no interference with the bed rails either.
