Local dealer still has 3 Launch Editions, so we know they’ve had them awhile...

I've only seen 4 of them in the wild (and TWO of those were in NYC). There aren't that many on the dealer lots either around here, certainly not equipped like I want...

I see them out and about. There are 2 in the parking lot of my building. One is a White Rubicon and the other is a lifted sting-gray (granted, there are about 2000 people working in my building). I've seen others driving around. I think a lot of it comes down to that MSRP and options sitting on the lot.

IMO, most of the folks who were waiting for the JT has bought one; now Jeep has to start SELLING to those who are prolly interested in other vehicles . . .

Love this thread! Hey now, anyone remember MSRP plus 10K .... I agree with those saying this is planned. 2020 models not pushed until August/ end of 2020.

I have only ever seen three in the wild since September.
I saw a white on the road and then a red one - maybe the same red one, twice or two red, dunno.
It was the same town both times, just two different parking lots on the same street so it could have been the same red one twice.
And there's a hydro blue one I've seen twice in the small town where my wife grew up - parked near a house in Melcher-Dallas, IA.

Either way it's been at least 2 weeks since I have seen any. That's pretty bad, seeing only a blue, white and a red in all of these weeks since they first hit the market?
Jeeps are otherwise pretty big selling vehicles here - Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Compass and others - apparently not Gladiator.
Talked to a couple today while we were visiting my wife's aunt (she just had knee replacement ) and that couple from WI had never seen a Gladiator before - from metro areas of WI, drove all the way to Knoxville, IA - and had never before seen one.

:movember::captain: :jk:... Maybe this will be as fun as watching price drop :clap::clap:

Edit: I mean last year when price was announced... Now we get to watch distribution!

The only two I saw in our area were parked at the country club. Tells you a little about the buyers in our area.

They are simply priced too high; the enthusiasts have theirs now. From here, we shall see . . .

just my opinion, of course

I got my rubicon with almost every option available for $6600 off in PDX. I didn't hold out for the color I wanted, but snatched a deal when I found it. They're still overpriced in most places here...and we're only now seeing a few Hydro blues here.

Here in Colorado, Jeeps are EVERYWHERE. You quite literally can't drive any distance anywhere at any time without seeing multiple Jeeps and Subarus.

I have seen exactly one Gladiator in the wild. It's a white Rubicon. I know there's another in town because the owner posts here, but I've never seen it. Same goes for the new Ford Ranger; exactly one in the wild.

That's what it's like around here, too. We used to say the official vehicle of central Iowa was a Jeep - any Jeep but the Wranglers and similar bodied Jeeps - you can't go to Des Moines from here without seeing at least 1, usually 2 or 3, then get into town, 3 or 4 Jeeps at each intersection. Piece of cake to get photos of Jeeps parking next to Jeeps here - but mine will likely be the only JT in there.

Reaction to the JT from a couple of folks - well, without them saying anything really, their reaction said it all - they didn't like the looks at all. Once they got past the grill, it was like "oh, ok.......... it's a truck" and that's that.
No waves, no honks, no rubber-necking to take a look, no "hey, nice truck", no nods, no thumbs-up. But then it's Iowa - if it's a 57 Chevy with an LS dropped in then it's the coolest thing ever made.
I have a feeling they'll be a hard sell in this state Hope to heck I'm wrong. That's just my thinking on it after a month of owning and driving it.

They're not very popular at the store where I work. We sell mostly XLT F-150 or 1LT trim Silverado 1500s that end up priced low 40s for pretty well equipped truck. We had a recent retired service loaner Silverado 1500 Custom Trail boss crew cab 5.3L that was sold for 36k +tax title etc so it's a hard sale for our mostly rural farm customers to step up from there into a smaller truck that gets zero incentives and is just less capable people hauler and not as capable of a work truck.

The few Gladiators we have sold here are mostly on a lift and have big Fuel wheels/tires on them and personally having seen them around town don't appear to be used for much other than driving around town to work.

In Iowa there unless you know someone with private land there really are not many places you can take a Jeep off road.
