My son has long hair. Since he doesn’t need sun protection from the top, just hair control, he’s been wearing those old school terry cloth sweat bands that tennis players used to wear. Depending on your style, might give that a try.

I haven't had a haircut since the pandemic started, so I've got a bit of long hair going. When I open the soft top, I like to match my Jeep with a man bun my own. The problem is, even with my hair pulled back, I'm still getting a bunch in my face, no matter how much time I spend trying to catch all my hair. I'm looking for a hat that'll tame my mane with no roof or doors at highway speeds. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Truthfully, I like the MISSION Cooling Bucket Hat- UPF 50, 3” Wide Brim, Cools When Wet from amazon. It has a stretchy adjustable chin strap. Number of different color/pattern options.

I also didn't go to the barber shop for like 18 months when the pandemic started (I also moved during that time, and as Ray Stevens points out, you really should not be going to random barbers). I have had one cut since then, but that was many months ago and once again have long hair.

Beanies are probably the best, but obviously too hot in a NJ summer. When fall comes around they're great. They sit lower than most hats since they come below the ears, which locks everything in place.

Generally speaking baseball cap/trucker hat styles do the best for me.

Having said all this - I'm going in Friday for a slicked back undercut. I'm sick of this mess.

I thought I was the only one who had these problems. I think I have hit the Brent Mydland's hair circa late 70's/early 80's or Greg Allman circa Cher hair territory at this point. Luckily my beard is still short enough not to blow around. Lately I have resorted to either keeping hair ties on the shifter to put it up to match my Bestop or use a pair of cheap sunglasses to hold my hair back.

The boomers are now bellowing that we need to get back to commuting and be in the office so things can get back to "normal." So I may have to resort to living with Kurt Cobain's hair, which will solve the problem. I don't know that I am mentally prepared for that yet tho.

I haven't had a haircut since the pandemic started, so I've got a bit of long hair going....
Me too and I'm about to turn 68 years old, ha ha. Fortunately, I have a very full head of hair that is going more and more gray but it's still there. I've never had hair this long even in high school which was prime "long hair time" in 1968-1972. My parents would have had a cow if I'd tried but I was an obedient kid so I never did. They're gone now and I'm retired so what the hell!

Problem is I have a very big head and that was before the long hair. Used to wear a 7-3/4 hat now it has to be a 7-7/8 or occasionally a full size 8 - NOT commonly available! Virtually NO adjustable hat fits me. I tie it back with black cloth-coated rubber bands into a pony tail and when I'm working in the yard I wear a red bandanna doo rag thing. I'm sure I look ridiculous to some neighbors and I don't care. They likely think I'm the gardener. I leave my windows up and my roof on but that is going to change soon. Best of luck and post whatever works for you.

EDIT: I have finally found the only adjustable cap that has EVER truly fit my big head. Here's the listing on Amazon if anyone cares. It fits me adjusted down to the smallest size with all the adjusting tabs engaged! Usually on an adjustable cap only one tab is engaged and it looks ridiculous so I never buy them. I bought a white one but will soon be ordering a royal blue - so I can put a Dodgers logo on them!

It's been a while since I've had to wear hair and beard covers, I'm pretty sure the other road users would get a little concerned I was some sort of hitman driving down the road like that :CWL:.
I’m a jeep hair don’t care type of guy
Me too, except for the "hair in my eyes" bit at 70 on the highway.
Tallahassee never steers you wrong ...
I wish I could pull off this hat, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work on me.
"Are you not entertained!!!!!!"
I'm honestly quite tempted to do this.
