Hi Folks,

Just did a 3.5" lift with 37" X 13.50" R22 and my only displeasure is the stopping power. Has anyone done a big brake upgrade? Looking for something that will help but not be insanely expensive.

Thank you

Power Stop Z36 Kits are available; check their website for Where to Buy and Pricing. Have heard good reports on Powerstop Brakes.

EBC also sells Rotors and pads for the JT. I will be going with the EBC YellowStuff pads, dusty but amazing stopping power and they don't fade.

I ran the Yellowstuff pads and Sport rotors on my Grand Cherokee and Power Wagon. Going to use them on the JT when it's time for new pads.

EBC Greenstuff pads increased the braking power of my Ram. I felt like I was standing on the brakes with the OEM pads just to slow down. GreenStuff pads made it feel normal. I have over 90K miles on them and they are still going strong. I did not buy fancy rotors. I used the OEM rotors.

EBC markets their "New Extra Duty PLUS Light Truck, Jeep & SUV Brake Pads" for "If you run oversize tires or lifted suspension this is a great product to use , increased friction over stock to compensate for changes in the vehicle setup."

I saw that EBC has a new "Red Stuff" compound. I can't find it for sale anywhere yet, but EBC is the route I'm going too. The stock brakes feel way too soft for me.

DON'T DO WHAT I DID 100s $ AND 6 MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION
Teralex Delta brakes if you want to do it once and be done
I tried power stop Z36 pads with some improvement
Powerstop calipers are just rebuilt painted factory calipers so I did not even consider them
I tried Baer SS4 brakes with some improvement put will not work very well with 37s
Teraflext Delta brakes use large 4 piston calipers and large rotors
Put most important features is that they uses Toyota tundra brakes pads and anti kick back springs behind each caliper piston
Unlike the Baers with Tundra pads you can get brake pads with all kinds of different compounds to try put the ones they come with work great
Where the Terafex really shine is the anti kick pack springs used a lot in racing
Google anti kick back springs for a good understanding on how they work
With the Teraflex the brake pedal is firm right at the top and you may have to readjust you brake light switch because the brakes may engage before the brake lights come on
Like others have said . I am happy every time I put my foot an the brake pedal
Also you should do a ABS bleed using a scanner and 8-12 gate way bypass cable to make sure you do not have any air trapped in the ABS system

Mind posting a pic, would like to see some 37/13.5/22. Mostly see 37/11.5 or 12.5/17.... thanks

Do they sell replacement parts for this kit? Rotors, calipers etc.

I'm interested in this setup, but kinda worries about replacement parts down the road.

Teraflex’ s comments regarding spares from another big brake thread - My Teraflex Delta Brakes Thread.

bakoboddy, thanks for the honest review! It's good to see customer feedback on our kits.

We keep 100's of replacement parts on hand in our inventory, from rotors, to caliper piston seals, etc. We do our best to carry service parts should a kit be discontinued; we still have parts to old TJ lift kits that haven't been sold in over 10 years. Currently we do not have any plans to end production or discontinue the Delta kit.

The rotors and most of the caliper parts will be unique to the Delta kits, but the brake pads and related parts are from a 2015 Toyota Tundra.
